The complimentary fried bread was great. The prime rib was cooked well and worth the price. The baby back ribs were not fall of the bone so I would not recommend it but overall it was still good. The meal also comes with ice cream which was also good.

Took my wife out to this casino for our 25 year anniversary, we both ordered prime rib, what we got resembled over cooked steaks i asked for medium she got medium well, very disappointed, we have eaten here several times but this is what I’ll really remember

We have been to several of the restaurants in this casino, but this was our first time here.
It was a weekday, so it was not very crowded.
We ordered spareribs and prime rib.
Both were generous portions for the price.

At first we had the delicious Bread followed by the best Braised Short Ribs ever!!!

I am writing this review specifically to highlight the exceptional service we received at Sage Café. While the visit was great, the standout element was your server, Haifa.

This was the second time we’ve had the pleasure of being seated in her section, and she is consistently excellent. In Germany, we have a saying that someone ‘sees the work’, and Haifa embodies this perfectly. She is incredibly efficient and proactive; she anticipates needs before you even have to ask. Whether it’s getting the water or a refill or clearing a plate, she just sees it and does it.

Most importantly, she does everything with a genuine, huge smile on her face that makes you feel truly welcome.
She is a true professional and an asset to the Sage Café team!

Food is always delicious and the staff is professional and courteous. Just dining by myself usually takes a little longer to close out the tab. I fell in love with consistency when I get the food. Not even once since I have been coming have I had to send the food back to get adjusted.

A delicious prime rib birthday dinner. Quite a meal for only $14.99. One of my favorite restaurants by far. Pretty much everything on the menu is tasty and reasonably priced. My wife had the tuna melt (pictured) and enjoyed it…. Delicious !!! Still one of my favorite places although the menu choices have decreased quite a lot.

Service has gone down over the past few months. We stopped coming because of this. Came today. Hour wait with 14 open tables. Food was ok but server brought wrong toast, forgot the pancakes and never once came to the table. 5 servers working 12 tables with a one hour wait. The casino probably doesn’t count on the restaurant making money but if it was a stand aline facility without the casino as a captive audience I don’t see this place doing well enough to stay open. Few if the course are good but they weren’t using any of those tables. Was not given options on sides or silverware. The longer I write the more I remember not being good.

Excellent seating hostesses. Our waitress was very sweet and welcoming. It seems she knew many guests by name.

I ordered the broiled salmon Salad. It was delicious. I did not care for the tomato gazpacho dressing but it was delicious with blue cheese dressing.

The calamari appetizer was good. Delicious but lots of crispy breading. May try another appetizer next visit.

My husband had the ribeye. He enjoyed his meal. The steak looked flavorful and good char marks.

The complimentary bread and butter was excellent. I would come back just for the mini fry bread alone.

Prices are reasonable and portions are generous.

Indian Bread is a must try. Hot and fresh. Favorite entrees include Oxtail Soup and Prime Rib dinner. If you’re hungry, try the full rack of ribs

Unacceptable Experience at Sage Café – Costly Damage and Lack of Accountability.

I recently dined at Sage Café inside Barona Casino, and I must say that my experience was nothing short of a disaster. What was supposed to be a simple, enjoyable meal turned into a highly costly ordeal, both financially and in terms of the utter disregard for customer care and responsibility.

While eating a salad I ordered, I bit into what I expected to be a pitted olive, only to realize—too late—that it wasn’t fully pitted. This seemingly minor error resulted in a broken crown, causing extensive dental damage that required $2,600 worth of repairs. Not only was this incredibly painful, but the aftermath was made far worse by Barona Casino’s complete refusal to accept responsibility.

Because Barona Casino is located on Indian reservation land, they are not subject to the same rules and regulations as businesses operating outside the reservation. This means they cannot be held accountable in regular Superior Court, and instead, they essentially make up their own rules. The inability to seek proper legal recourse in a court system most of us rely on is absolutely unacceptable and leaves customers like me with no reasonable means of compensation or justice.

This kind of behavior—serving potentially dangerous food and then hiding behind reservation status—is not just bad business practice; it’s irresponsible and unethical. It’s outrageous that a well-known establishment like Barona Casino would allow this to happen without offering any form of compensation or solution.

I want to strongly warn anyone considering dining at Sage Café to be cautious. The lack of accountability and disregard for their patrons’ well-being speaks volumes about their priorities. I believe the public deserves to know how they handle issues like this, which can have severe physical and financial consequences for their customers.

It’s hard to trust a business that creates its own regulations to avoid facing consequences for their negligence. This type of behavior will undoubtedly damage their reputation, and rightly so.
