Definitely put this on your list to visit. Amazing Authentic Persian food in the desert. So happy this restaurant opened! An amazing venue, staff, vibe, and food! Could not stop eating the food because it is all so good! Ashley the co-owner, with the chef, stopped by all tables to have a chat. She is so personable and inviting and nice. Glad to have found this spot and look forward to many more meals.

Classy, friendly, and delicious! Saffron manages to do what many restaurants attempt – create an upscale environment where people are happy to commiserate over great food and drinks at a reasonable price.

The owners are friendly and the customer service is excellent. The servers inquire about food allergies and dietary restrictions when taking your order, which is helpful and thoughtful.

My partner and I ordered the eggplant appetizer – Kashke Bademjan, the Filet Kebab, and the Fesenjoon. The eggplant is a nice light starter with great texture and taste. The filet was tender and cooked perfectly, the Fesenjoon is tart and sweet with depth of flavor, delicious! Don’t forget to try the red wine margarita. Definitely recommend & definitely returning.

Amazing, amazing. We were greeted with smiles, kindness, and a warm reception as if coming home to family and friends. The space and environment was perfect, it felt like a San Francisco hot spot. Lighting and ambience just right.
Service at first had a little slow, BUT we realized that our waiter was training someone, and they more than made up for it.
Our waiter, Drew and his trainee Blanco, we’re so attentive, knowledgeable. Drew was very descriptive about each dish, drink, and appetizer. I was drooling before I’d even ordered.
The smoked old fashioned, was perfectly flavored and one of the best we’ve had here in PS.
The Dolma, superb, perfect, warm, and full of flavor. The eggplant with the Persian flat bread, oh my god, so good.
The dinner was excellent. My husband ordered the lambshank and it really was so tender and delicious. I ordered the stew with kidney beans and beef. So tender and the spices were perfect. The pistachio cheesecake was creamy and full of flavor, and the baglava had three different flavor profiles and was delicious, my hubby never finishes desert, but he did this time. We’re both so full by the end.
Finally throughout our dining experience, Ashley, the owner was so warm and welcoming, stopping by and checking in on us, talking with us and making us feel at home.
As we always say, “we enjoyed it, but you’ll have to experience it for yourself,” SOOO Go, experience this amazing place.

Stumbled across this restaurant while looking for Sunday dinner with a fairly sizable group. The food was very good (I had Gormeh Sabzi, delicious!) as were the drinks, but the staff were the highlight. The owner stopped by the table and chatted with us briefly and she was so friendly and funny. This is our new “must eat at” restaurant for our Palm Springs vacations!

It’s wonderful to finally have a high-quality Mediterranean restaurant in Palm Springs! We’ve visited several times — once with a small group of friends and twice with larger groups, for both dinner and drink socials — and every experience has been fantastic.

The food is consistently delicious, especially their kababs, which are among the best we’ve ever had. The owners and staff are incredibly welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes everyone feel right at home.

The bar area is great for larger gatherings, and their cocktails are excellent — especially during happy hour with such great prices. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Always seeking good Persian food. This was like eating in a Persian mum’s kitchen; will be back and cannot recommend highly enough. The service was phenomenal. Go with a group and order ALL of the appetizers. If you’re not familiar with Persian food, give it a shot; you won’t regret it! What a wonderful addition to Palm Springs. I’d love to see salad olivieh added to the menu, but that would just be “icing on the cake”. Mamnoon az mehman-navâzi va tajrobeh-ye âli-ye ghazâ!

Saffron in Palm Springs is a true gem, offering Persian cuisine that’s authentically delicious yet refreshingly innovative. As someone of Middle Eastern heritage with high expectations, I was genuinely impressed. I moved to Palm Desert recently and was disappointed in the lack of middle eastern cuisine the area had to offer, so I was very excited when I heard about Saffron. I’m happy to say that it exceeded my expectations and I hope the restaurant maintains its excellence for the many times I will be returning. I also rarely write reviews so that’s a feat in itself.

While Saffron serves classic dishes perfectly, their creative twists truly stood out. The flatbread tahdig, especially as a trio with classic stews, was unlike anything I’ve seen before—simply brilliant. The mini kebab rolls, uniquely paired with hummus as a sauce instead of as a dip, were also a delightful surprise. For dessert, the baklava cheesecake was exceptional, an inspired fusion I’ve never tasted elsewhere. The mains were, of course, fantastic as well. My mother and I ordered the Zereshk Polo and Soltani Combination Kebab plate.

The hospitality matched the quality of the food. Chef Sev personally checked in on guests alongside Ashley, who warmly shared the restaurant’s backstory. Mimo kept the dining room perfectly attended, and our server Elijah was doubling as a bartender the night we went and he crafted excellent drinks, particularly the Persian fizz and the playful mocktail, “Adulting Responsibly.”

The experience was impeccable, I can’t wait to come back!

Best,
Habib

We tried Saffron after wanting to for a while. Everything was delicious and the drinks made by our server Luis were great! Ashley, the owner, welcomed us and went through favorites on the menu. She came back and even offered to help box up leftovers at the end of the meal! We can’t wait to come back with a large group for our next event!

My girlfriend and I celebrated her birthday here. We were greeted by two friendly people at the door. We were seated and our server, Drew, told us the specials and took our drinks order. He was really sweet and efficient. The drinks were very good and soon our appetizer came out and was delicious. Our food came out in a timely manner and was so fresh and perfectly prepared. The owner checked in on us. We had a wonderful evening and would highly recommend this restaurant.
