Hidden gem hole in the wall restaurant! Truly impressed by the flavors and quality. Start off with either Mantu beef dumplings or Ash soup. Saffron Palau and Kabuli Palau mix platter were our favorites. For dessert the carrot pudding was excellent and so was the Firnee – enjoy with saffron tea. Most of the items are gluten free which was a plus.

I tried this new Afghani restaurant and really enjoyed my visit! I had the beef Kabuli rice and Ash soup. The soup was delicious; warm, comforting, and perfectly seasoned with black pepper. The rice was alright, with a mild flavor. I also tried their sweet carrots dessert, which reminded me of my mom’s homemade version!such a lovely surprise!
Ahmed, was so friendly and made sure we enjoyed our meal. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be back to try more dishes.

What a delight to have the Saffron Restaurant in Greater Cleveland… Authentic Afghan cuisine… my wife had their salad with marinated chicken… I had the qabuli mix platter, we both had saffron tea…
Taste buds were positively exploding with a great mix of herbs and spices… my skewers of chicken, shami, and tiki kabob were indescribably delicious, and we both enjoyed the qabuli polau rice…
Food was awesome… the gentleman that served us was that, a true gentleman!

One of the best afghan cuisines we’ve ever had… if you’re craving for their famous national dish “pulao” then this is definitely the place to be. Go try it. You’ll definitely love it.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! Everything was absolutely perfect from the warm and welcoming atmosphere to the friendly and attentive staff. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor with original Afghan traditional foods taste. Every dish we tried was a hit! Clean environment, great service, and a menu that caters to all tastes. Delicious Middle Eastern and Afghan food in the middle of the Cleveland. Family run business with great service and care for customers. The owner also offered me a saffron tea on the house that was very delicious. Food portions are generously large. I personally loved the Qabuli Mix platter that is mix of rice, meat, carrots and raisins.
