Food was wonderful. I had Tandoori Chicken and it looked and tasted amazing. My friends ordered Butter Chicken and Lamb Curry. All were beautifully prepared and the flavors fantastic. Highly recommend this small, excellent restaurant. Order the Indian food!

What a gem of a place! Wish I knew about it earlier. Very large portions of food. Had the lamb curry which I hadn’t had since a child in England. Super friendly owner and waiter. Will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone wanting some AUTHENTIC Indian dishes!! 10 stars!!!!

I am an Indian and know the taste of Indian food very well. I went to this restaurant based on some of the good reviews but was totally disappointed.
The vegetable curry I ordered was too bad; watery with hardly any vegetable in it. The taste was pathetic and I could hardly eat it. Complimentary rice that came with the food seemed to be stale. To aggravate the experience, the food was served in plastic plates. I don’t think that this restaurant even deserves a one star. Bottom line – Extremely bad food and not worth the price.

I used to eat here, I would suppose, perhaps more than any other customer. The food here is top notch and there truly is no other Indian food quite in their league in Columbia. However, the last few times I went I utilized a coupon found online where you can order $20 worth of food for $10.00. This was a coupon the establishment acknowledged and consented to. On my last visit, the server, who I believe but am not entirely sure was the owner, gave me intense death stares the entire meal and made me and my spouse feel extremely uncomfortable. It was clearly intentional. We had bickered, in a sense, the last time we had eaten there and tried to use the coupon, but there was simply no excuse to treat long-standing customers that way simply because they use a coupon that you consented to. Go to Spice Junction instead in West Columbia. Their curry is good and much cheaper, if not quite as flavorful. The family there is so unbelievably friendly. Also, the food doesn’t take 45-60 minutes to cook even when no one else is there like at Saffron.

The taste and flavors were good. Ridiculously priced for the portions we got. $14 for a cup (literally a cup size portion) of butter chicken (3 little nuggets of chicken in the bowl) and rice. We paid 2 or 3 bucks extra for flat bread. With tax we paid $40 for 2 people. 2 butter chickens and 2 breads and 2 waters. Just kinda pricey for the amount of food served.
*area Indian buffets are like $16 for all you can eat. We will just stick to the buffets.

Went here with a friend who loves indian food as my first time actually trying Indian. I immediately got some good vibes from the place when I walked in and the place had a beautiful spiced aroma. I had a delicious and flavorful meal that was inexpensive and came with an awesome presentation. I’ll absolutely be returning!

The cuisine does not look like a fancy restaurant (actually looks a little low end by its appearance) but the food is authentic and delicious and you get great service there as a plus.
Updates: after a couple of dining there we found the waiting time became longer and longer even though it was noticeably not busy time when we were there. What made it worse was we only found three or four small pieces of meat in our goat Curry orders. Hope they could look into this otherwise…
