We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Saffron Indian Restaurant in Zionsville! The food was truly delicious, and we were so happy to see our favorite beer, Taj Mahal, on the menu. The staff was incredibly kind and even gave us a complimentary taste of a curry, which was a lovely touch. Every dish we tried was full of flavor, and we couldn’t have been happier with our meal.
The only thing we would wish for Saffron is that they could be located in a more central spot in the village—perhaps on Main Street with the other charming restaurants. They absolutely deserve the visibility and foot traffic that such a location would bring. Despite this, Saffron’s exceptional food and warm service will definitely keep us coming back!

This is the best Indian food hands down in indiana. Highly recommend to anyone looking for flavor. You can get it any level of spice you want but even mild has a huge amount of flavor. Our favorite dish is the Chicken Korma because my god the creaminess is amazing. We love to mix the chicken biryani with the korma and it’s heavenly. We have tried this place three different times and each time it has exceeded expectations. The only problem is there is a bit of a language barrier sometimes so look into what you want prior to instead of asking what to get when you’re there. We ordered our food to go so it doesn’t look great on camera because I’m not an influencer but trust me when I say the food hits so hard. Definitely get the Garlic Naan, one piece is HUGE and full of garlic and butter!

We absolutely love Saffron Indian Restaurant in Zionsville and have been coming here since it opened. Our favorites (although it is hard to choose!) are the palak paneer and Saffron tandoori mix grill (although it IS recommended to order this item a little prior to coming due to slightly longer prep time.). And the naan melts in your mouth. If you want truly authentic Indian food, we highly recommend you try Saffron. Excellent!

We had no intention of stopping here for lunch today, but the 4.9 star rating and lovely name were worth a try. Delicious food and wonderful service! Everything was so tasty with reasonable prices. I love the elegance of their dinnerware and gold place setting. The atmosphere is bright and cheerful. They could skip the Bollywood music videos but it does add to the atmosphere and experience of eating there. I hope to return to try more things on their menu!

You know this place is good because there are Indian people eating here, haha. I ordered the garlic naan bread and paneer tikka masala with a mango lassi. All were DELICIOUS. My paneer tikka masala was ordered as medium, but it must have been Very White Guy Medium because I didn’t really register any spice lol. Will definitely be returning for the flawless food and service.

Came on a Saturday for the buffet. It was great! $18, including chai and soda. They had a decent assortment of curries, vegetarian options, and excellent tandoori chicken. They brought fresh garlic naan to the table that was soooo good! Gulab jamun was for dessert- and my only recommendation would be that they heat it up- as eating it cold is not as tasty. Restaurant is fairly small, but clean, easy to get to from the highway, and bathrooms were clean. We hope to return!

Editing this review to provide more detail: This place is AMAZING! I’ve now been three times, once for dinner and twice for lunch. For the lunch times, I tried the veg and non-veg specials, which were both fantastic and filling. Those are dine-in only, but well worth it (see attached pictures) – plenty enough for two meals, especially as it comes with chai and two big pieces of naan. I’m only in town for a week more, as I’m dog-sitting for a friend, but I’ll definitely be back. I wish I could eat here every day!

Saffron promises to serve authentic Indian cuisine, but food quality is inconsistent. A recent visit disappointed us a lot. Upon pointing it out, no corrective action was taken; they smiled and ignored it.
Service is very good and the lone woman waitress/manager is extremely well-behaved.
Will we continue to keep it in our Indian restaurant list? I do not know. It might be towards the bottom of the list.

Excellent food! Everything was very tasty and spiced just right. We loved all of the dishes. The vegetarian section of the menu made ordering super easy. We were even asked if we wanted to omit the cream from one of the dishes! I was so happy with the attention to detail. We will go back again for sure and will bring friends!
