I go to Saffron every couple months, as it is nice to have Indian food in the Mansfield area. It is very unfortunate that they stopped doing their lunch buffet, as I was a weekly customer. It was nice to be able to try a variety of food. I come in much less now because it is extraordinarily more pricey. It is expensive to eat a full meal there as compared to other places in Mansfield, unfortunately. The service is great and the food is always good, though.

Wonderful food and excellent service. Originally picked this restaurant when my partner was visiting. He is gluten free due to a medical issue and happens to love spicy food. He was very impressed that their entire menu, save the Naan Bread, is gluten free! We’ve gone back a couple times and each time he has tried something new. Looking forward to our next visit.

Truly authentic Indian food. Clean and good service. Love the garlic naan got 2 orders of it! If you go during the week certain hours they have a buffet. The only thing I might change is to turn down the music videos playing as they are a little loud but add to the cultural experience. Go try it! If you don’t know what to order just ask them for suggestions they are very helpful

Absolutely wonderful experience. Food was great! Service was outstanding. Atmosphere was clean, pleasant and enjoyable. This was our first time at this establishment and we will definitely be returning. We were very thankful with the amount of time the waitress took to explain what things were when we told her we had never been there before. VERY IMPRESSED!!!

Clean restaurant with a large menu. Multitude of vegetarian options. Our waitress was excellent, taking care to answer our questions and offer menu suggestions. We did find the “mild” to be much hotter than anticipated, but will order medium on our next visit. The garlic and cheese naan was flavorful and delicious, and the quality of ingredients in all of our dishes was notable.

Waitress was awesome! Very polite. Though management not so much. 5 yr old little girl wanted the “fried cheese” she did not it. Took one bite from our Advertiser sample platter And decided she did not want The order of fried cheese since she did not like it since we did not eat any of It The waitress comes back to let us know her manager refused to take it off it was only $5 in the woman proceeded to try to argue about the $5 every other restaurant Has no problem taking stuff of the bill you did not touch or want she lectured me about She had to throw this cheese away and that she’s going to make me pay for it well after standing my ground and letting her know I refuse to pay for something we did not touch it was to cough We will never return the food is way overpriced for the little bit you’re given and it’s not the best I’d rather drive 2 hours to Columbus to Get good Indian food. We will never go back! Management tries to make people pay for things they did not want/order. I suggest no one go here go to Columbus if you truly want GOOD Indian food

Not bad for local Indian food. They can be a little pricey for the amount of food you get when dining in. Their lunch buffet can be a little bare but overall good. If you’re in the mood for Indian food and don’t feel like traveling to Columbus or Cleveland, this is the place to eat.

I was so excited to see that Mansfield had an Indian buffet. My husband and I decided to give it a try. The waitress was really nice and friendly and the place was very clean. But I was disappointed in the limited options on the buffet. Two rices (plain and saffron) three vegetable dishes and two chicken dishes. We filled our plates and were brought two slices of naan bread. I was disappointed there wasn’t a small salad option. I’ve visited several Indian buffets and they usually have some fresh salad like with lettuce and cucumbers. The waitress offered to make us a salad and I got very excited. She went over to the buffet and made us a “salad” with some crackers as the lettuce. It seemed very strange.
We visit two different restaurants pretty regular and they both offer a fresh salad and my favorite butter chicken and give you as much naan bread as I want. So I left I satisfied.
Oh and I can’t even begin to describe the rice pudding! I won’t be back.

Visiting the area in a place where food is lacking and seems to be a risk of disappointment. Yet I’m very pleased to of stopped in Saffron for cuisine worthy of sharing with others on a positive note and that should be on your list of eateries in the area.
The butter naan was full of flavor; I presume the water in the area they use for the dough must be of a good quality because that naan was tasty and a great side to have for the lamb and rice.
Service was good; my iced tea was always filled when 1/4 full and the staff who attended me was very prompt to deliver.
I would go back again and try another dish.
The dish comes out on a sizzling hot cast iron skillet so the food maintains a constant pleasing warmth in every bite.
Also who doesn’t love a place where it’s socially acceptable to eat with your fingers! 🙂
