I recently visited Saffron Indian Cuisine on Tuesday and tried their buffet. The food was decent, but I honestly expected more because there is so much talk and hype around this place. Some dishes were good, but overall it didn’t really stand out in terms of flavor or variety. The atmosphere was pleasant and nicely set up, though there is still room for improvement to make it feel more complete. Service was fine and the place was comfortable for dining. It wasn’t a bad experience, but it didn’t fully live up to my expectations either.

Oh my goodness. It’s been several years since I’ve been back, but I have to say this visit was so worth it. First off, our waitress was so sweet and so knowledgeable, even instructing us how some of the food was made by scratch. Our server who brought our food was delightful and kept me laughing. The decor is simple but it is so pretty.
And then there’s the food. Oh wow. It is just as good as it was the last time I was here, and there is so much. My $18-19 entree had several tandoori wings, an entire bowl of rice, three or four naan and all the veggies. It was delicious, and so much for a great price! So authentic and so lovely. I love this place and I cannot sing enough praises about how I’ve been treated the 10+ times I’ve come over 10 years.

Great service every time! Lunchtime buffet is great and so is dinner service. Our waiter went above and beyond for my husband’s birthday. The strawberry lassi is phenomenal. Varied spice levels for all dishes makes this a great place for the whole family. Free mimosas during lunch, what more can you ask for! 10/10

I have been here for twenty years. My children and I use to come here as vegans every Sunday. The food is delicious, flavorful and authentic. I come here at least once a week and would eat here everyday if I could. The buffet has so many options even vegetarian. They even offer mimosa with the buffet. The staff is so professional, attentive and friendly. Great atmosphere also.

Absolutely excellent dining experience! Space was clean and inviting. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. I had the pepper lamb appetizer which was tender and flavorful. Followed by a generous serving of chicken vindaloo. Spice level was exactly what I asked for after discussing hot vs. “Indian hot” with my server. It was spicy enough to clear my sinuses but balanced flavors came through the heat. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Came back here again after a couple of years and everything we ordered were as delicious as ever. This time I came back with my partner, siblings, nieces, and nephews.
Order many different dishes and everything was so good. I got to take only a few photos since we were really hungry. Servers were very friendly and frequently came to our table to see if we need anything. Very family friendly and the atmosphere is nice.
Definitely recommend anyone to come check it out. They also have vegetarian options as well.

My husband and I have had Indian food all over the world, this is by far some of the most delicious food we’ve had here in the States. We had the vegetable samosas, and our 9 month old baby had the Dahl and loved it! the coconut salmon and the rogan josh with lamb was heavenly! It was all seasoned and cooked just right. We also highly recommend the chicken 65!! The restaurants atmosphere is beautiful and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. We are happy to give them 5 stars. Come here if you want to have the best Indian food in Greensboro!

i’ve never had indian cuisine in my life and this by far the best experience i’ve had in gso with any food service the food was so nice and tasty and some of the best food i’ve ever had
the waiting staff was amazing and they made sure we were comfortable

I’ve been coming to saffron for years and they’ve never disappointed. Whether I’m coming for the lunch buffet or a dinner date, the food is superior. There’s hundred of places to eat in Greensboro but I always come back to saffron. Aside from the food always being super delicious, the lunch buffet is always rotating so there’s always something new to try. The staff is beyond sweet everyone is so welcoming every time I’m here. I’ve loved Saffron for years and will for many more to come. Thank you Saffron for being my favorite restaurant ❤️

We stopped in today to have a Valentines dinner since we couldn’t yesterday. This was only our 3rd experience with Indian food and we were blown away. The other place we went to was good but this place was excellent. The food came out in a steady, but not too fast, pace and was good for the whole meal. The waitress took the time to explain what certain things were AND she never let my water glass get empty (I drink a LOT) and that was really nice. She also constantly came to make sure the table was cleared of plates we were no longer using as we ordered a lot to try several different things and have leftovers for a day or two. Would also like to add that this place looks pretty upscale and in regular clothes we felt underdressed but we’re still treated amazingly. Thank you all for a great meal.
