We had a wonderful experience at Saffron. We ordered the naan, goat madras, biryani, kadhai, and chicken korma, and everything was absolutely delicious. The korma and the madras were especially amazing, both very rich, creamy, and full of flavor.

The staff truly made the visit special. They were incredibly kind and accommodating to our young son and to my sister who uses a wheelchair. Their patience and warmth made us feel very comfortable and welcomed.
Great food, great service, and a very welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back!

The food here was okay. Nothing special but nothing terrible. I wouldn’t come here again. It was not that it was bad but it just wasn’t good.

The atmosphere as well was a little bit weird. There was a lot of incense burning and there was also music being played in the background that was quiet but still repetitive.

The restaurant itself was nice with decor. However, it had a drop ceiling like an old office building from the ’80s that was very stained which kind of ruined the atmosphere.

The stuff are friendly, helpful and attentive.

Saffron in Norwalk is a gem! The food was outstanding

We had a fantastic time at Saffron in Norwalk. The food was top-notch—especially the chicken wings and chicken tikka masala, which were bursting with flavor. Honestly, everything we tried was great.
What really stood out was the service. Maggie was exceptional—warm, attentive, and made sure we had a perfect dining experience. Food + service like this is what keeps customers coming back. Highly recommended!

UPDATE: Under new management!!!…

Was told new dishes will be coming soon (not sure I will try as the taste of the food has changed drastically from my experience).

New A family owned indian restaurant I’ve grown to love. Recommended by a co-worker, Saffron Indian Cuisine Restaurant has become one of my “guilty pleasures” on my way home from work. Located on a main strip in Norwalk, it is one of thee best Indian Restaurants I’ve eaten at in Connecticut and would recommend it anyone open to having a delicious and tasty meal.
They’ve distinguished themselves apart from the rest through their commitment to quality, freshness for each handcrafted dish. Their menu includes Chicken Tikka Masala and its correspondent Butter Chicken where I HUGELY recommend getting the Bhatura (fried pita bread) along with it or any of their entree’s (you’ll thank me later ). There’s various Biryani’s (aromatic rice dishes) with your choice of protein (chicken, lamb, shrimp, etc.). They prepare various naans (breads), vegetarian dishes, and dessert. What kept me returning to Saffron is their utmost consistency in the flavor and their spice levels where I recommend if you never had Indian food before-start off with their level 3. I personally do level 7-just enough of a kick, if you like spice (y)-level 8 and up will offer you that bang. Don’t let anyone scare you about Indian food being too spicy, they will definitely change your perspective and tastebuds. Saffron’s wide array of dishes includes something for everyone and their own liking which welcomes you to enjoy their crafts from the kitchen. It’s worth a try!.

Pinky, the waitress, was really kind, welcoming, and helpful. Her recommendations for customizing the spice levels of each of the dishes we ordered were greatly appreciated and turned out just right for all members of our party. She was patient in answering our questions about the menu and explaining what the different dishes were.

The food came out quickly and smelled amazing. The naan and paratha were some of the best that we’ve had. Portions are fair for the price, and the ratio of meat to sauce was generous. If we were to go back, we’d recommend asking to reduce the amount of salt in the dishes as some were too salty.

I have eaten a lot of Indian food in my life and this is hands down the best Indian food I’ve ever had- heck it might be the best meal I’ve ever had. Magical and amazing. Extensive and vibrant vegetarian menu too! Absolutely worth the journey for me to get there (even though I live over in NY state). Every bit of eating here is utterly perfect. (The photos might make the food appear humble- but it is anything but- it’s divine)

I introduced Indian cuisine to some classmates from CTState-Norwalk campus, and they loved it. The ability to specify spice level was crucial to getting them to enjoy these new and exciting flavors without introducing too much heat too soon. Delicious!!
