Reviews
We visited for the buffet and were quite disappointed. While there were a good number of options, the quality of many items was not up to the mark.
The chicken dishes—Chicken 65, tandoori chicken, and butter chicken—didn’t taste fresh, seemed undercooked, and had a strong meaty smell. Even the shrimp in the shrimp thokku had an off-putting odor, and the fish starter was very chewy. The honeydew drink was overly sweet and hard to finish. Naans were also undercooked, and the chutney served with the masala dosa was cold and bland. We informed the staff about the undercooked chicken, but nothing was done about it.
On the positive side, gulab jamun was soft, juicy, and delicious. The chaat was enjoyable, especially with the green and tamarind chutneys. Chickpea salad, Sambar and Paneer Makhani were also good.
Despite the variety, most dishes didn’t meet expectations, making the overall experience underwhelming. Considering the quality of the food, the price didn’t feel justified.
I have been to their other resto around town so food is very delicious as expected. Staff were very nice and attentive as well.
The curry was just as good. There was a perfect level of spinach in the saag, I could actually taste it. The naan breads were excellent too!
The service was a little slow. We had to wait about 15 minutes for our order to be taken and another 15 minutes after we finished to get the check. Other than that, it was a great visit.
I was happy to find out the same owners run Cilantree in Farmington!
Horrible experience. I’d ask for a refund, but when I asked the host to talk to the manager on duty he glared at me and just continued to stand there and do nothing.
Although the food was alright, I don’t know that I’ll ever return. Horrible service. Save your money and go somewhere else. I wish I had my money back to go somewhere else.
Minutes, while we waited for that same manager guy to bring us our check. I didn’t understand why someone else couldn’t do it. Anyhow, the atmosphere is super warm and cozy and I think the servers need some training on customer service and friendliness. I was hoping the food would make up for the lack luster experience, but the curry was surprisingly bland, unfortunately.
Butter chicken the best!
The waiters were so nice!
