Amazing spot for sure! Tried it for the first time tonight and it is fantastic. I got the lamb vindaloo, extra spicy, and though ot could have had a bot more kick to it, the flavor was phenomenal. The samosa chat and cheese or garlic naans are all great as well. Will be eating here more often.

This is a takout Indian restaurant in Stowe. We did not know it wasn’t dine-in and a little difficult to find, but when we called the owner came out of the restaurant to find my car. That’s service. It just opened 4 weeks ago, and we ordered our food for takeout. It was amazing. Authentic Indian served hot and fresh. Give it a try!

Terrible service! It’s a small takeout restaurant with hardly any space to stand. Huge wait time to even place an order. Ended up ordering online. There’s clearly not enough staff and is highly mismanaged. They keep the phone on the side, so forget reaching out to them. Also noticed few flies roaming around while the guy was packing naan. The food is too spicy and definitely not worth the wait.

I visited Raja restaurant while I am in my vocation in Vermont. The food was amazing.the place is where you can take your food and go. Near the restaurant there were a fabulous valley . And also the downtown town which were many historic places. It was great choice food , walking in the downtown and see the valley.

It is a small mostly takeout place, it has three small 2 seater tables that you can use to eat but it’s not so much experience than convenience as far as dine in goes. The food was amazing, I loved the garlic naans and the curries were made to your spice level which is a great thing. The staff is very small so it can be a little slow but being takeout place it is well run. The staff was very courteous and was accommodating. It was big cold in the restaurant but again it is a take out place. They can certainly improve the decor etc. but I loved the place and went there twice while I was in Stowe. Recommend it to anyone looking for fresh, good quality Indian food.

It was delicious. I asked for mild spice level and it was on point. Good portion size with plenty of paneer and chicken in the orders. I would definitely order again.

This place is incredibly sketchy. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a narrow, claustrophobic hallway covered in construction dust. Not exactly the welcoming vibe you expect from a restaurant. The entire space felt neglected and unhygienic. We noticed that the employees didn’t seem to wash their hands, and customer service was practically nonexistent. It’s baffling how this place is still operating. As many other reviews have pointed out, the food is extremely mediocre. The biryani and curries lacked flavor and authenticity, and for the quality, the prices are outrageously high. You are essentially paying premium rates for subpar food in a dusty, uncomfortable setting. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. There are far better dining options in Stowe that actually care about cleanliness, service, and quality.

If you’re Indian — especially South Indian — I strongly recommend avoiding this place. The food was extremely disappointing and tasted nothing like authentic Indian cuisine. I ordered biryani but received something that looked and tasted like plain fried rice with a few pieces of chicken in it. It was nowhere close to real biryani. Overall, I’d rate the food 0/10. If you’re looking for authentic Indian food, visit another restaurant — this one is not worth your time or money

Super bad experience. They have just 2 staffs. They usually pickup a huge number of order beyond the level they can manage leading to undue delay, loss of food quality and taste. In fact did see one roach near their ordering bench, not sure if that little guy still lives there. Would never recommend.

The whole town was so excited to see Raja open. The food is incredible, the people are wonderful, and you can just taste the love they put into their food. This is our new favorite go-to. We love to get it and have a picnic in the park. Affordable delicious food, kind and genuine staff, family vibe. Grateful to have them around 🙂
