Good value! The server was kind and professional. The food was good and freshly made. I ordered a flatbread pepperoni pizza and a Caesars salad. The pizza was sliced up so cute. Both were tasty and not terribly expensive considering the location inside the Charleston Marriott. This was an enjoyable takeout experience.

Charleston has a lot great places to eat, but don’t overlook Safire at the Marriott. This isn’t your average hotel food. The shrimp and grits were incredible! The grits are drowned in a delicious cream sauce. Make sure to ask for extra andouille. Staff is great; friendly and attentive. For business travelers there are a number of comfortable places to sit and work while you grab a bite.

I was staying at the Marriott for a conference and it was raining one day so we decided to just eat here in the hotel for lunch. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and it was huge. crispy, and pretty good. The service was very average. I wouldn’t suggest going out of your way to come here, but it is a perfectly acceptable place for a decent meal.

I absolutely love this place. Whether you have a room at the hotel or walk-in you can either order a buffet or from the menu. I love the menu because you have such a nice variety and everything is fresh. The person who makes the omelets gives you a variety of ingredients to choose from and they’re not overly fluffy they’re well done and I’m not a person really for omelettes but at this hotel they’re fantastic. I attended Sapphire on Monday Memorial Day and I asked if they did discounts for military. My waitress said they did not and I thought wow Memorial Day and they don’t give discounts to vets okay. I asked to talk to the manager about this and the manager listen to what I had to say because I suggested they do military discounts Memorial Day and Veterans Day just to show their appreciation you know maybe just 10% but she listen to me. The manager took 20% off of my bill so that was very generous of her and she said she would pass along the idea. So anytime I want to go out and enjoy great food for only $16 which includes coffee and Juice I’m going to come back here

Server was friendly. Shrimp and Grits were great. NY Strip was good. But a little dry and slightly over cooked. The butter helped out and was good.

Alert: My co-workers and I stayed here this week. Two of us were served meat that was not real meat but only to find out, animal byproducts meshed together to appear like steak. This is a thing, it’s been on the news. They serve a $40 “filet”but is not a steak- it is comprised of various cuts of animal parts mixed together. Gum paste is used keep the “steak” intact. The product tastes terrible. They placed gravy on top to mask the flavor and appearance. This is not real food.

Another colleague ate the shrimp dinner and became violently ill that same night.

This restaurant needs to be reported.

I know it’s convenient but do yourself a favor and save your money, go down the street to a real restaurant. Check the food quality rating first.

Your typical run of the mill slightly more expensive because of the location restaurant. My girlfriend and I ordered pretzel and that was the best thing we had. I had the Chicken sandwich and it was more breading than chicken. My girlfriend had the flatbread and it was okay. Nothing to really write about.
Thank you for reading.
