Restaurant is super pretty and the food is amazing! I got the drunken noodles and the cheese rolls (I think that was the name?). Everything was amazing. I also did try to the Thai hot spiciness for the noodles and I loved it. Not as spicy as I was expecting but the flavor was fantastic.

The service was good, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was good, but nothing particularly special. They offer a lot of vegetarian options, which was great. Overall, I recommend it.

Decided to try this place out after years of only going to Lemongrass. Really helpful host who said everything could be made vegan, and was knowledgeable on swapping out fried tofu for fresh to make the dish gluten free. I ordered the masaman curry (made with fish sauce) for takeout. Does not come with rice – that’s $2.50-4.50 extra. $19 for the dish. Very disappointed in the size for the price. I ended up sourcing food elsewhere to round it out so I wasn’t left still hungry after.
As for the flavor, it was rather bland and sweet. Wouldn’t recommend based on value and quality. But did appreciate the dietary recommendations. Solid 3.5 stars.

Comfortable, laid back, unassuming atmosphere. Great food! Make sure you request your preferred spiciness. We got the Pad Se Ew, Masman Curry and papaya salad. Definitely reccomend.

I went on a date here, the spring rolls were amazing, easily the best I’ve ever had in my life aswel as the curries I tried. The environment itself is breathtaking, it’s beautiful in there I also tried the mango sticky rice and fried banana desert it was so good, my mouth is watering just typing this. 10/10 reccomending to family and friends

Solid Thai place that has been here for a long time. I think there are better Thai places in town, but it’s good and convenient when I need Thai food in Kailua. The ambience inside is also really nice so it’s a good spot for a date.

Tastes pretty good but this is what $50 will get you. 4 fish patties. I used to get a bag of these for about $0.05 in Thailand. I know I can’t compare the price but I’ve gotten better and more fish patties (~6-8) at other Thai restaurants for maybe ~$12. Also, while the taste is good, a few things are definitely Americanized? I’ve never had pad kee Mao in Thailand with bean sprouts.. or with thin noodles. Would be great if they could stick to being more accurately Thai!

This is the ONLY thai restaurant in Kailua, Hawaii Oahu at the time of this post other than Lemongrass which serves Thai, but they are Vietnamese. They are ok, Sengs. I love Thai but I don’t love this place. Their service is slow. Their food is…ok…and their price is as high as many other places in Hawaii are. They have a nice venue… bar and upstairs seating. Could host 100 people easy but it’s often empty. Probably because of exactly what I am talking about. Ok but not great.

I love Thai food, and this is the best Thai food I’ve ever had in Oahu! Everytime I go, I try different items on the menu! I love them all! My favorites are the Stuffed Chicken Wings (Must have), spring rolls, and of course… the Curries! If you love Thai Food, you will love this place!

Ordered takeout from Saeng’s on the evening of Wednesday 11/11/2020. We ordered 4 appetizers and 4 entrees, and were told it’d be about 25 minutes for our food to be ready. After 20~ minutes we drove over; when we arrived, there was about 8 different parties already waiting for their food. We had to wait an additional 20 minutes, about 45 minutes total, for our food to actually be ready. Before Covid, we’d dine in/order out from time to time and never waited that long, so not sure what caused the hold up this evening.

Our order consisted of 2 Spring rolls, 2 Beef Sautee, 2 Shrimp Pad Thai, Pork Pad See Ew and a Chicken Curry. The sauce with the Beef Sautee is delicious but the beef itself was overcooked and dry. The spring rolls were okay, but overly oily. The Chicken Curry was good but nothing all too special. Luckily all our noodle dishes were very good. I always stick to the Pad Thai when I eat at Saeng’s and I’m always happy with it. Our bill came up to $121. Their prices have definitely gone up over the years! The food is good, but the portion sizes and spotty quality don’t justify the cost.

If you’re craving Thai Food, Saeng’s will satisfy, but it’s expensive and depending on the day, quality can be really disappointing on some dishes.
