Small town, locally- loved old time café with decent food, large portions, inexpensive prices and friendly. Hash browns were perfect, scramble was delicious and the owner was friendly . It was very busy when we were there and if you love a classic diner with local flavor, this is your place.

If you love great food in a nice hometown atmosphere, you will love this hole in the wall . I had one of their two egg Scrambles (Chedder, ham and mushrooms). I told my wife that any more ingredients and the two eggs Couldn’t have held it together. The Cinnamon Roll and Orange Cranberry toast were freshly baked and tasted just like it . The Only downer was that my wife’s hashbrowns were a tad greasy. It was fun listening to the Hometown banter !

I ate here two mornings while I was in Council Grove. Excellent! Biscuits and gravy the first morning (was thrilled to find homemade sausage gravy!), eggs, loaded hash browns, bacon and toast Sunday morning. Eggs were cooked perfectly, bacon was actually crisp just like I ordered! Great service! Had two different waitresses, both very good! The one from Saturday remembered me and asked if I got the cranberry orange bread this time! I sure did! You HAVE to try their homemade breads! So good!
I think I’ll be full the rest of the day!

Just love coming to this place. Plenty of food for a very reasonable price. Their breakfasts are awesome if you get a chance to try them.

Have you been looking for that hole in the wall small town Cafe? Look no further, this place is it. Dang the food was really good. The best “toast”I’ve ever eaten. Good enough I’ll drive two and a half hours to eat here again. And the help, excellent. Seriously, go eat there, you won’t regret it.
