I recently had the pleasure of grabbing lunch at Saddle River Deli, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to take my order, which was a big plus since I was on a lunch break.

I’ve been up and down NJ, and I’ve traveled to 42 out of 50 states, and I have to say this… The Saddle River Deli is the BEST!! George and Carol make a great team, their food is always fresh, and the prices are so reasonable. My favorite is the Classic Italian with Mayo, Jalapeños and Banana Peppers. Whether it’s breakfast, a classic deli sandwich or a hot meal, these guys crush it every time!

I absolutely love it here! The Saddle River Deli is a small, family owned business. Carol and George are always accommodating and efficiently. I highly recommend their macaroni salad as well as their chicken cutlet sandwhich. Their menu is very reasonably priced. It does get a little busy at lunch time (which is a good sign) so I would recommend calling ahead for your order.

Found this place for lunch while on a work trip. I’ve been back every day, the food is delicious, and for the price you pay the portions are very generous. It’s a proper, old school deli, lots of customers in there on a first name basis with the staff which is always a good sign.

I’ve been going to this deli since I was a kid. As a life-long resident of saddle river, I’ve seen ownership change hands three times in my life. In a small town without many businesses, I’m grateful for the consistent quality of food and service of this establishment. All of the staff are friendly, the food is prepared well and priced appropriately. In a world of corporate franchises, I still appreciate the hard working mom and pop businesses that deliver a higher level of quality and service than their competitors. Chicken cutlet sandwich is the best around!
