Sadako is by far one of my favorite places in Ann Arbor. My family and I have been going there for over 15 years. In that time we have never experienced a bad meal! The staff does their best to stay friendly even in dinner rushes and the owner is one of the nicest women you will meet in Your life! The food is amazing best sushi in America if you as me! You have to try the deep fried California roll with spicy mayo! We pray that this place can be here for many more years after the changes to this side of town

Been coming here for years now when I was a student and after graduating. Good quality food at very affordable prices, especially their lunch menu. I’m a big fan of their lunch bentos, and I’ll usually get some combo of that and/or sushi depending on my mood.

Rarely do I dish out 5 stars across the board like this. But wow. What an excellent find!!! Went here for my wife’s birthday & they were very accommodating of our party of 12! (Even though we only told them 10 on accident). It’s just good sushi. It gets the job done.
Very affordable sushi. And everything we got was good. The sweet potato roll was to die for. I’m for sure going back.

I was so excited to try out a new restaurant and have some chicken katsu for dinner. I walked in Sadako hungry and excited for dinner but left utterly disappointed. It took a while until my waiter got my order and then it took exactly an hour until I received my dinner. My chicken katsu was burnt, the salad was made of raw cabbage, and the rice of all things was just okay! Quite disappointed. Try somewhere else.

Sadako is a great sushi spot in Ann Arbor. The fish was super fresh, and you could really taste the quality. The owner was so friendly and made a bunch of great suggestions. We especially loved the salmon roll, and the dragon roll was amazing. Chill vibe, great service, definitely recommend checking it out!

Sadako is an absolute gem in Ann Arbor! The sushi is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You can really taste the quality in every bite. To top it off, the staff are incredibly warm and welcoming – you can tell they work hard to bring you the best dining experience. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or settling in for dinner, the atmosphere is cozy, inviting, and perfect for any occasion. It’s easily the best spot in town for sushi – my favorite forsure!

I’ve been wanting to go here for months, I door dash on the side and pass by and pick up orders all the time, finally I had the time to bring my girlfriend here, who is extremely picky, and it exceeded both of our expectations.
1. The teriyaki is the best I’ve ever had. One of the owners told me her husband makes it fresh everyday so we will get the same flavor no matter the staff that day. It was also recommended by one of the best waitresses me and my girlfriend have had in our 6 years of dinner dates. I had the udon, the beef was so flavorful and cooked perfectly, my girlfriend had the combo plate with chicken, beef and fresh vegetables covered in teriyaki. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. And the sake was really good as well.
2.The service is top 3 dining experiences I’ve had. Great recommendations, welcoming, attentive without being over bearing. We still had a private dinner but any time we had a question the lovely staff were right there. When ordering I asked for recommendations and each one we got was spot on. Not over sold not underwhelming
I would 100% recommend coming here. I was anticipating my next visit while I was still here lol. Also get the teriyaki if you come here.

I visited last week for a quick bite before the concert and I still have mixed feelings about my experience. Amazing food, huge portions. When you order, however, there are no pictures of sushi items so you can imagine the size. Me, dining in A2 first time in the last couple of years, kept wondering are the prices high because it’s A2 or portions are big unfortunately we didn’t ask the waitress and we got lots of food to eat and take with us to an event
We also were in a rush to attend the concert and asked the waitress how long for the food after we ordered and received our appetizer and she just said 15 Minutes at least and offered to bring boxes. I mean I know I’m not a queen of the world and don’t need special treatment cuz I might be late to an event, but offering to ask chef if he can prepare our order sooner would have been nice. I worked as a waitress before and it certainly possible in some cases to make an accommodation.

I’ve never had a better spider roll than from Sadako, and it was a TAKEOUT spider roll that was like five hours old. You know how hard it is for a deep fried thing wrapped in moist things like the sauce and sushi rice to taste amazing and hold a variety of crispy and fluffy textures hours after it’s left the kitchen? For ANY sushi to be good more than twenty minutes after it’s made? A true miracle. Bless this restaurant and the workers that made this meal possible.
