This is an updated review for Sabor Mexico in Lake Elsinore, CA. I love that this place is nearby. My family and I have been coming here for quite a few years now, since 2024, and it has always been a great experience. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the service is consistently good.
Before I found out I had celiac disease, I would always order the torta cubana, their wet burritos, and the waffle combo, which were all so good. Even after changing my diet, I still have great options here. My current go-to is the chilaquiles with half red and half green sauce, carne asada, rice, and beans. The flavors are amazing, the portions are big, and the food is very filling.
Their aguas frescas are really good and come in large cups, which I appreciate. The birria tacos are also delicious and definitely worth trying. Their menu is very large and extensive, and everything we’ve ordered over the years has been consistently delicious.
We often have Rosa as our waitress, and she is always so sweet and attentive. Overall, Sabor Mexico is a great spot for good food, generous portions, and friendly service. I highly recommend it and will continue coming back.

Me and my family have been coming here for a while and the service is always great. All the employees are super nice and attentive when we come. The food always taste hot and fresh. There prices are decent here and it matches the quality of food you are getting. There portions are great enough to even share in my opinion. There agua frescas & natural juices are amazing ! A must try ! There micheladas are pretty good as well. I would recommend there chilaquiles, tortas & nachos.

Love this place everything so far that I have tried here has been exceptional. Plus very reasonable pricing which is hard to find nowadays. There salsas have flavor!!! Most mexican restaurants dont have that, but here authentic for sure. I recommend the chilaquiles w/steak. Huevos divorciados, omelets, birria plate and torta de Milanesa. Coffee is great and just love the licuado de Mamey. Must try this place lets keep it alive here in Elsinore.

This is a family owned business and they appreciate their customers and offer great service. This was House of Eggs, now its Sara’s Cafe. Still same menu and great food. Prices are very reasonable with moderate portions. They open earlier than most in town which is convenient.

This place is cool, open early and wasn’t busy at all. Ordered a asada torta to go but would like to eat in next time seats are comfortable and clean

Food and service are always the best. For breakfast it’s hard to choose, I love their green chilaquiles. For lunch and dinner Birria any way is bomb. You must try the churros are bomb.

Server was nice, she asked us questions about how we wanted our orders. Food was good too and a fair price.

This place is a hidden gem for sure. There was only one other customer in the whole place.
I had the birria torta and my brother got the birria burrito (not pictured). Also got a bottle of Coke (which came with a glass of ice) and my brother got the melon Fresca.
Everything was fantastic. They used great ingredients in their food.
The service was excellent too. They didn’t speak a lot of English, but they were very friendly and accommodating.
Definitely recommend!

I am sad to say that sabor mexico has come down from 5 Star to 3 stars. Today I eat breakfast at this location because it has been a while. So I decided to eat here but I felt like I was dining a my local fast food restaurant. I went in and took my seat. I wait for the waiter to pass me their menu but instead I had to order and pay for my meal at front desk. After my french toast combo arrived and only the eggs, bacon, and sausage was good. I felt that this one great breakfast restaurant has lose their motivation for great cruising. In addition, paying first is not the problem but making the customer order and pay at the front desk makes the restaurant felt more like a food court at your local supermarket store. I feel ordering and paying at the table before eating felt more like a restaurant than a local supermarket food court.

I order the double cheeseburger with my neighbor and send him in a red electric cart for pickup. The burgers are super, fries crispy and the ladies, treat us like family. There breakfast eggs, bacon hashbrowns also are great. They appreciate our business unlike the jack in the box serving cold leftovers.
