Sabor Mexicano is my favorite restaurant. Every time I go, the quality of the food always matches the memory of my first, lovely time there. I usually get their steak alambre or tacos al pastor, but they have so many delicious things on the menu, and I always love to try their new dishes.
Their prices are incredibly fair, as the care and love put into the food are obvious, and everything is made to order with fresh ingredients. The restaurant itself is kept very clean. It’s located right on the flat river, giving a beautiful view for both inside and outside seating.
Best of all, no matter who you are, they’ll treat you like family.

This was our first time and we will definitely be back! They had several salsas to choose from. Their chips were my favorite (greasy goodness) . Some of the best ground beef tacos we’ve had. My husband enjoyed the Ramen but he said it was a bit on the salty side. I felt the same way about the beans. They were good just a touch saltier than I like. The pork tamale was delicious and came in a banana leaf instead of a corn husk, which gave it a different flavor but still yummy! Our waitress was wonderful and everyone we engaged with was super friendly! Definitely recommend this place! It’s off the main road, on the water and you can see the river from inside which was pretty this time of year (fall).

Best Mexican Cuisine in Michigan! We had chicken sopes, chicken flautas, guacamole and queso dip. The food is so fresh and tasty. The servers are welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates authentic Mexican cuisine! Thank you for the great meal!

20 min drive from GR to try and was not disappointed! Our wait was short, food was delicious, authentic and the portions were more than generous for the price! They offer lunch specials and kids menu. Melinda was amazing! We will definitely be back!

Some of the most flavorful Mexican food Ive ever had. The chips and salsa is amazing !!! Horchata was perfect !! My brazed pork with salsa verde was perfect .. my wife’s Birria was perfect .. top it off the consommé was so flavorful .. I’ve had many Birrias where it lacks flavor … almost doesn’t feel real that everything was so perfect .. They Make their food in small batches so it’s fresh. It’s well worth the wait and I totally understand. I live in Grand Rapids and have several options out there but I think this is my new favorite Mexican place and would drive out here

I have ate here and ordered take out multiple times now haven’t been disappointed, and I know you won’t be either. The staff are very friendly, clean and relaxing atmosphere, they are pretty quick taking your order and getting food out and ready, same with take out. You never wait long. They do not skimp on food, you get a lot of food and it’s always fresh. Theres a nice scenic look being on the River as well. Theres pricing is reasonable and worth it for this place and the food and the good service you receive here. I am glad I was introduced to this authentic Mexican restaurant and they will continue to get my business.

This place is amazing! The staff is always friendly and great at answering questions.
The food is some of the best Mexican I have had. And there are so many options. It is difficult to choose, so plan to come more than once to try it all. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like, but I always get the guacamole.
