Some of the best pupusas I’ve had in a while! I love Salvadorian food, I’ve had it in Arizona, NY, and now Kentucky and this has to be some of the best I’ve had. Even better than the ones that I make at home and that says a lot . So ultra thin and cheesy what kind of cheese do you guys use? The loroco pupusa was very flavorful and our drinks were excellent as well. Horchata was delicious I just wish it had a bit more cinnamon. The table salsa was honestly one of my favorite salsas I’ve ever tasted perfect balance of spicy, fresh, tangy. The two servers were an excellent help to us as we had to pack up and leave to catch the bus. Will be back at this place the next time I’m in town, thank you!

Mucho Gusto. I was raised in Texas and grew up eating Latino food. I can talk a fair amount of Spanish. Please don’t get embarrassed all Latino people learn English in school. Guacamole here is all made by hand fresh every day. I recommend a plate of enchiladas during hot weather. I always drink ice water with quality dining because I can really taste the peppers!

Today I took my small children to go eat. I ordered two bean & cheese pupusas for my kids and they gave me two cheese. Apart from that, they weren’t fully cooked and the cheese they use isn’t good. The waitress was very nice and attentive but the food is just not good.

The food was not just generic tex-mex. Chips and hard shells were fresh. Hot salsa was hot in a layered way. Flan was creamy, consistent, and some of the best I’ve had. Wait staff was excellent!

Good portion and sides dishes. I wish there are more flavors on the fish.

We stumbled upon Sabor Latino expecting Mexican food. It was SO much more! The menu has food from El Salvador and Honduras along with some traditional Mexican dishes. The guacamole was the best I’ve ever had…extremely chunky with lots of onion and cilantro. I had Fried Yuka with chunks of pork and the most amazing fried yuca! My husband had the Honduran Tacos and it was delicious! The sauce is tangy sweet over rolled deep fried tacos. We can’t wait to go back just for this! Pupusas were very good. Only item I was disappointed in was the Casamiento … very dry and tasteless. Decor is bright and fun. We will be back!

I ordered two pupusas, a mix and a bean and cheese. The mix was amazing though the bean and cheese was really sour, probably due to the fact that the cheese wasn’t heated enough. The drinks weren’t really that great either in my opinion, though my parents enjoyed the food. I guess it’s just due to preference. I didn’t like it all too much but maybe others who have more Central American tastes would enjoy it better. I’ve included pics of the menu I received along with the food that my parents ordered: more pupusas, empanadas and platanos.

!Delicioso! Admittedly I have little experience with Salvadoran food, but thankful my Latino colleagues served as cultural/gastro guides in this experience. I opted to do a shared popusa exploration. We ordered the Mix, Bean &Cheese, Loroco &Cheese, and Pork &Cheese. The temperature, texture were spot on. The filling is a thin layer of flavorful goodness. You won’t find chunks of meat or cheese in these, but the flavor is there. This is a food journey I highly recommend. Popusas are filling as well. I also had the Jamaica beverage as well. This sweet drink is a tastebud treat. My colleagues sampled the buffet with a wide variety of Salvadorian fare. They love

Appearances can be deceiving! What looks like a hole-in-the-wall type place has some of the best food around!

It’s a Salvadorian restaurant, so although they have dishes that seem similar to a lot of Mexican food we see everywhere, the flavor profile is refreshingly different. My husband loves the arroz con pollo, and my daughter loved their moist chicken tamales. And the pupusas, don’t forget to try them!

We are fairly new to Lexington, but this spot gets added to our short list
