We stopped for tamales yesterday. The offerings are traditional Salvadoran, not Mexican or Tex-Mex. Nothing fancy but the food was absolutely delicious! So many different flavors, but nothing overpowering. We didn’t understand what one of the tamale varieties consisted of so they provided a full-size sample to try. So good!
The owners are very kind but not knowing Spanish the chatting was more “animated”. Be prepared to be visited by any one of 4 Chihuahuas who help run the place.

I love the pupusas! Nice family run business and can’t beat prices. We bike the local trail and stop in for some authentic Mexican food on our way home. Was closed yesterday with nothing posted and normally only closed on Wednesdays.

We have been staying as a family in the area for the week and have had 2 meals here. I cannot say enough about how DELICIOUS the food is- tacos, quesadillas, pupusas were all stellar. I honestly wish we could squeeze in just one more on our way out of town.
