There are many modern meanings for the word Chilango. In the 70s my father told us that it meant “person who came to see the sea” so those in the coast called people from the center or capital of Mexico Chilangos. At this restaurant the ambiance is awesome! The music was just like in Ciudad de Mexico. The noise was moderate and we were able to enjoy the music and have a conversation. There were two waiters. The service was friendly and courteous but they need help. I don’t know what the hold up was. The food took a looooooong time ( they lost a star) and although my enfrijoladas were cold all the food was really good.

The Best Place to eat Mexican food. Miguel Ángel was our server and he did a fantastic job in serving and tending to us. Super polite and professional. We loved the music that was playing while we ate. We even had nostalgic conversations with Miguel Angel. We connected with the great music and fantastic food. We even ate there two days in a row. I had the chicken enchiladas one day and the huarache de asada the next day. The chocolate abuelita was amazing and so is the cafe de olla. Everything was made fresh and tasted just like home. For dessert we had the cold arroz con leche, the plátanos fritos and the strawberry cheesecake. DELICIOSO!!! We will definitely be back soon.

Definitely a fist class experience. My family and I are vacationing at Disney/California adv. from Utah. We wanted Mexican food and came across Sabor Chilango online. Saw the Guacamole appetizer and were sold! Well, the experience there is even better than the photo. Would give more stars if I could. Miguel Angel was top notch with his service. The food was unmatched. Will definitely eat there again!

I have been looking for chilango restaurants with excellent food, and this place is definitely one of my new top favorites!! We drove from Murrieta to Anaheim to try this place out, and it definitely did not disappoint. All the food was very freshly made. We were served a complimentary cup of sopita de fideo, and the broth was excellently savory, with the fideo nicely cooked. Then we received our order of chips and guacamole, which was also well prepared. The guacamole was served in a molcajete, which was something new for me. Then our food came in, and wow was it delicious!! Our party ordered chilaquiles, chilaquiles chilango, a pambazo, tacos dorados, and a huarache. I personally ordered the huarache, and it was clearly handmade and prepared fresh. The beans were probably the best I’ve ever eaten, and the steak was seasoned perfectly. Eating the food with horchata was so delicious!! Everyone got full with their dishes.
I would highly recommend this place. It serves authentic chilango food (with some exclusive dishes from D.F.), and has wonderful customer service. I would definitely go back again if I’m in the Anaheim area!! Added bonus: it’s by Disneyland!!

We had Miguel Angel and he was amazing. Best service we have had. The food was delicious, affordable, and plentiful. I will highly recommend! We are only in town for a few days and I hope to come back! (I had already taken a bite out of the taco before I took the pic.)

Super casual but service at the table; didn’t have to order at the counter. The waiter was very helpful helping me decide. Appetizer soup was delicious. Mexican music videos on the sound system and Mexican news on the tv with no sound.

This place is super clean and cute! I love the layout and the signage. This was such a great location and happened to be walking distance from the place we were staying.
