We stumbled on this place by accident after coming to this plaza for another restaurant that had a huge wait.
This place did not disappoint, we started off with the fried plantain and spinach salad, both were full of flavor; the salad came with a guava dressing and the plantain was stuffed with cheese. Our main courses were the tongue stew and grilled fish, both dishes were amazing and full of flavors. The restaurants atmosphere was very relaxed and the staff were very friendly.

I don’t play about Oaxacan food and this place exceeded my expectations. The staff is incredible, from their welcoming warmth to the attentiveness during the service.
I highly recommend the Botana Oaxaqueña with a side order of chapulines. For drinks, the Oaxacan Mule and the Aguas Locas flight.
Finally, nothing better than the plain rains with condensed milk. Very traditional, very flavorful and the ambiance makes you feel at home.
Definitely coming back!

A perfect birthday lunch! Loved the mole sampler – the coloradito was definitely my favorite of the bunch – a good amount of spice to it that kept it savory throughout. Not a big fan of the champurrado – a little blander than I’m used to. I do want to try the atole to see how it compares with others I’ve had!

Tacos and enchiladas were good, but salmon needed little more flavor. Salad with tajin.. didn’t like. My cochinita pibil way too fatty. Alcohol drinks too mild. Loved the mariachi and the service!! We Will try another dish next time.

Carne asada plate was delicious. I asked for medium rare and got medium rare.

Mole was on point and the margarita was wow. Kudos to the hardworking bartender that night.

Chips were hot and crispy and the Salsa was toddler friendly.

It was also mariachi night and they sang “El Rey” for our table. We will definitely be back.

Overall, I love this place. Atmosphere is fun, homey and comfortable. Some tables are a little tight but things can be moved around to fit. They have little things that show they care, such as the purse, coat holder next to each table. (See pic)
Area to wash hands is outside the bathroom. You’re immediately served with pan dolce (pic). Chips and salsa homemade. Excellent. Cafe de olla was served authentically. (Pic)
My only issue, and I mean only, was the wait time for food. A couple came in after my wife and I, ordered, was served before we got our food. Granted we had 2 more in our party coming later but we made it clear we could go ahead and get started. Chips and salsa appeased us but it was annoying. I really wanted to give this 5 stars across the board. But maybe that was just my experience. I would still make an effort to enjoy this cozy, fun restaurant! Full bar as well. Huge tequila menu (see pic)

FYI — the long stringy things in the salsa is not hair, it’s cilantro.

I’m a stickler for a good mole poblano and wow this place has taken the #1 spot for me. Amazing flavors, food cooked perfectly, and don’t get me started on the service. Ordered camarones a la diabla. Salsa turned out too spicy for my friend’s liking so we kindly asked for a different salsa. They brought out another and made sure we were happy with it. The drinks are also great for tequila and mezcal lovers. The manager, Rosy, was super friendly and talked to us about different menu and drink options and geniunely cared about our experience here. Hands down my favorite restaurant now. Can’t wait for my next dinner here.

THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!!! Service in on point. Margaritas are made with fresh lime juice squeezed every day! I went for a bite on Thursday night and raved about it so much, my husband wanted to try it. Needless to say, I was back on Friday and this time, I took pictures. We have a new favorite spot! Full bar with TVs and the decor is beautiful.

The food is SPECTACULAR! The service is like FAMILIA! And the ORCHATA MARTINI IS OUT OF THE WORLD!!!

Additionally, I give them FIVE (5) REVOLUTIONS ♻️ ♻️ ♻️ ♻️ ♻️ because THEY CARE ENOUGH ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY TO RECYCLE ♻️ 100% of their bottles and cans!!!

PLEASE TIP THEM “MAS GRANDE” and tell them “It’s because you RECYCLE ♻️ and you CARE about OUR COMMUNITY and the ENVIRONMENT! THANK YOU!”
