The food here is absolutely amazing and so filling. I was blown away by this authentic Mexican cosine. We had the fish tacos and flautas meal. The ambiance is very calm and inviting like having dinner at your best friends home. The service was impeccable our server was very attentive and so polite.

The most authentic and best quality Mexican food I have had in the neighborhood. I am so happy with Sabor A Mexico II.
They are not afraid to include traditional dishes like mole and pozole because they actually know how to make them.
You can also order cafe de olla (traditional coffee) and delicious desserts like tres leches cakes. The restaurant is cozy and beautiful for dinner alone or with a special someone. They also have a great selection of spirits for coctelitos fyi

We have had the pleasure of dining here many times over the last several years and have always (always!) had not only a wonderful, authentic, homemade-quality Mexican meal, but have had top-shelf service by Carmen and the rest of her staff. It’s like walking into the home of your favorite aunt and uncle who are from the south of Mexico and make fantastic meals! The quesadillas and tacos are great for lunch and quick bites; the fajitas and birria platters are phenomenal for a more filling meal; we’re big fans of the spicy margaritas, but all of their drinks have been delicious. It’s a cozy spot but with enough room for families, happy hour get-togethers, and outdoor seating for pretty days. If you’re looking for an authentic, non-chain, legit homemade Mexican food experience, look no further!

Incredible gem on a side street (79th) in the upper East side… The good, presentation and service are all exceptional. Highly recommend. (I had the fish tacos and loved them).

The food was OK. There is no customer service. As a party of one who dined inside (only customer, by the way), I had to request everything (water, water refill, to place an order, alcoholic beverage refill, additional food, and the check)! I ordered rice, beans, Traditional shrimp tacos (not to be confused with street tacos) & two margaritas. I even witnessed a patron who dined outside bring in their used plates. The staff was very concerned with decorating for Day of the Dead. I didn’t feel appreciated for supporting their business. I would not recommend this place but rather Chipotle for the taste/service/value.

Hole in a wall mexican restaurant. Very festive decor. The place is best for small groups no larger than 4! Food was just the right portion not to scarce and not to over the top!

We specifically went to this Mexican restaurant because we work nearby, and another girl who works there often comes to the bar where we work. My boyfriend is Mexican and she’s always very kind — she recommended the place, saying the food was really good.
Today, before starting our shift, we went there specifically to have pozole. We didn’t have much time, but unfortunately, the person who served us was quite rude and seemed very unwilling to help. We waited over 20 minutes just for the pozole, and since we were running out of time, we had to ask for it to go.
The experience wasn’t pleasant, and sadly, I doubt we’ll go back. It’s disappointing because the place looks really nice.
