Wow! So glad we found this place. HUGE portions!!! Food was excellent! The business owners were friendly and entertained us while we were there. Try the beans!!! I hate refried and these were almost like mashed potatoes taste which I love! Queso was really good too!!! We had plenty to take home. Homemade corn tortillas. Wow. I just can’t say enough

A jewel within the VFW in Ute, IA. We love hitting this place for dinner! Food comes out hot and delicious. As you order they will bring some chips and salsa. We ordered the steak nachos, Sabor quesadilla and the enchiladas. Highly recommend the queso, it would be great on a tire! Always a must to order something with or just the queso dip!

Excellent food.
Appetizer chips and salsa were good, salsa was fresh but didn’t have much bite to it (some people like it that way, but I’m not one of them). Had the enchilada meal (two chicken one beef) and it was delicious. The chicken was moist and had good flavor but the beef one was the star of the show. If I went back I would order 3 of the beef. Dressing of greens and salsa was flavorful and fresh. Rice was very good, and beans were ok.
Others at the table had fish and shrimp tacos, cheese quesadilla, and a fried chicken filet with avocado salad that I forgot the name of. Everyone agreed that their dish was great.
Service was friendly and fast (for a made from scratch meal).

Not impressed with the food you can smell right away that it’s been cooked with lard and then tasted it…yep lard. Disgusting smell and taste from cheap oil.
