Weekday operation at the University of Arizona offering Mexican eats, including breakfast.

People working there look like they hate their life. This is my second time giving this place a try. And well it was so gross I’m not even going to eat it. Has little to no flavor and what I do taste is nothing but oil, smells like oil too. The guac I paid $250 was swimming in oil and discolored. I ate a few bites and instantly my stomach said no. For the $20 the meal cost it’s just disgusting!!!!! Just smelling it is making me feel sick.

Food is average as far as food goes. Service just terrible. Slow. 5 people working the counter, standing around, took me 15 minutes to get one chicken quesadilla, quick was just sitting on the counter for several minutes when i finally asked where was my order. DO NOT recommend. There’s plenty of other, faster options in the Student Union

I like to go to Sabor because it’s consistently less crowded than other eateries in the main UA “food court” area.
I often eat the carne asada burrito, but I’m not sure why. As my photos show, the burrito is made in a way that you can’t really grab it and eat it with your hands. Because the burrito is smothered in a way that you just have to use a fork and knife, unless you want to get your hands super messy. Maybe I’m just too accustomed to eating burritos from a foil wrap. Despite this, I’ll still go there to eat.
I’ve also eat the salad once and tacos. I think I like the burritos best but am considering trying the shrimp burrito next.
I love that, in addition to fountain drinks, they also serve Mexican Coca-Cola.

It’s like if you described a burrito to a Victorian child. Just go to chipotle. The prices look good from the outside but lettuce is extra, sour cream is extra, and guac is extra even without meat. The burrito was mostly tortilla, maybe like 5 pieces of carne? All for $14.40. Barely even had rice and beans. Rice and beans are the cheapest part of the whole thing. Rice is 97 cents per pound DRY.

It’s generally not good but today they gave me raw rice and I really can’t get over it. I was in a rush and I don’t like confrontation so I didn’t go back in. Either way it was a very bad experience that I payed $14 for

Ordered carne asada nachos, there were ONLY 5-6 small pieces of meat on it. It was busy at 12:15pm, no customer service at the front desk to attend customer needs. Also no staff to clean tables.

Not allergen friendly:
Wish I can I say this place is decent, however after placing my order I specifically ordered no rice due to my allergic reaction with reason, rather, to be substituted with either beans or chicken. However, what I received was it had plenty of rice, astonishingly less meat and beans and I had to call Sabor to request a refund. It’s not a bad place, but to make a mistake like that, it would alert me and others if the restaurant does not have measures to pay attention to food allergies.

Decent Mexican and/or TexMex food on the U of A campus. Accepts CatCash and meal plans as well as cash and credit. As campus dining goes, it’s one of the best. There are some relatively nutritious choices here, if careful selections are made, but as a rule it’s still pretty heavy on the fats and carbs. For quality, flavor and authenticity, it beats the heck out of Taco Bell, and is usually about as quick. Recycling and compost options are a plus! If I could award half-stars, I’d give Sabor 4.5.
