A broad menu of Thai curries, noodles & stir-fries are served in a simple storefront setting.

Excellent drunken noodles, however light on the veggies. The pineapple fried rice was delicious. Chive dumplings were good but nothing to write home about. The scallion pancakes were not worth it. Very very light on scallions or flavor. Should only be labeled as a pancake. The prices are the lowest you’ll find in the area. The service was subpar. We were the only ones in there and she never checked on us just too bring out our order. Kind of a bummer because this place is a gold mine of flavor on the right dishes.

Lovely food, waitress was nothing but polite, food is great, nice and warm for New Year’s! Plenty of options on the menu, all of which have great descriptions so you have a good idea as to what to order!

I was skeptical due to some of the reviews, plus the place was empty whenever we walked in. Please note it was at 2:30 PM. We were greeted promptly and instructed to sit whenever we wanted. The super nice lady took our order of spring rolls, pad thai, and pad see ew. All of the dishes were made fresh to order, and they were AMAZING! I’m not sure why people were saying their dishes lacked flavor, because ours did not!

Where do I begin? I usually do not do reviews. My daughter and I stopped in on January 6th to get lunch. The second we walked in Sabieng we felt not welcomed at all. The woman eventually told us to take a seat wherever. As She looked us up and down with a sour face. I should’ve just left. The woman brought us menus and walked off didn’t ask if we wanted something to drink or anything. We ordered pork fried dumplings, chicken drunken noodles, wonton soup, and a tofu noodle dish. The wonton soup and fried dumplings came out fairly quickly. Both these dishes seemed fresh and edible. As we waited for our main dishes, I could hear them cooking up a storm and it took a little while so I was excited for some yummy food. When we got our tofu noodles and chicken drunken noodles, I put a piece of chicken in my mouth and it was sour. I instantly got nauseous. I thought maybe it was just that one piece so I tried another piece. The food was spoiled, and some of the vegetables were still frozen. I tried my daughter’s dish and it was absolutely disgusting. Her food was not fresh or edible either. This experience was horrible. And the food was spoiled. I can’t even imagine how many people got sick eating there. I gave the plate too the waitress telling her it was spoiled, and that was the only Time she was nice to us. My daughter and I are not picky. We are from out of town and was So hungry after our long drive. The food and environment at this place was awful. Do not waste your money and time.

While I appreciate the restaurant’s effort to stay open during the holidays, my experience at this Thai establishment was unfortunately disappointing. Upon entering, we noticed a table cluttered with leftover food, which seemed wasteful for someone who loves Thai cuisine. The main dishes we ordered, pad Thai and orange chicken, were overly sweet, making it challenging to enjoy the flavors. We also ordered soups and some starters, definitely not worth the price we paid. Frankly, I believe I could replicate better Thai dishes following an online recipe. The two stars given for being open during the holidays….

Great authentic Thai restaurant. The chicken Pad Thai was really good. Good size portions for the price. Quick and pleasant service, the lady behind the counter was really nice.

I don’t usually take the time to write a bad review but this was a terrible experience. The server completely ignored us while being very attentive to other tables. We were two women with two kids… we couldn’t figure out if the server was homophobic, hated kids or racist (biracial group as well). We were so kind to her and she was alarmingly rude. It was so uncomfortable , and she very clearly didnt want us there. Food was cold and not very flavorful. Not worth your time or money. I’d walk around the corner next time, there’s a much kinder and tastier Thai restaurant on Congress.

Sabieng had delicious Thai food with great servings and service – we tried four different Thai curries and each was prepared fresh and tasted like homemade food. A lot of great vegetarian options as well. Highly recommend trying this place if you’re in Portland !

I discovered this gem in my exploration of Portland recently. A lot of the restaurants don’t open until 4pm or 5pm and ya girl was starving! I was the only customer at 3pm. Its small, clean, quiet and affordable.
The service was quick, staff polite and the food was hot & delicious. I’ll check them out again on my next trip
