Was in a hurry so chose to take out, still I enjoyed very good service. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, esp the girl took my orders offered me water & filled up my water cup for me. The atmosphere is very nice, with Thai related decorations. The papaya salad with prawns is among the best I’ve ever had. And I been to Thailand a lot. Recommend!

We were a group of 9 and were seated after a 20m wait despite not having reservations. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and the server was friendly and polite and helpfully accommodated our request based on food allergies to provide certain dishes without mushrooms. The dishes were flavorful and we enjoyed the chicken soup, drunken noodles and the spicy noodle prawns. Would recommend.

This was my first visit to this gem of a Thai restaurant in Langford just at the corner of Jacklin and Goldstream. We were lucky to get a table for 5 almost immediately without a reservation, considering it was a Thursday around 6:00pm.
Two of us ordered the Thai beers and they were good if not better than our Canadian Pilsner’s and lagers. There were a few specials but most of us chose to order from the extensive main menu. It seemed like no time at all before our steaming hot plates of food arrived. It was delicious and even the rice noodles, were so yummy.
We were too stuffed for dessert but I will return. The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice as well. Kudos to our server, Stephanie, who was right there for our orders, our drinks, water, food, then the bill. All restaurants should take note of how to make a customer happy!

Had dinner here for the first time and really enjoyed it. The portions were generous, the food was high quality, and the service was quick and efficient. The only thing that could be improved is the atmosphere — the seating near the fireplace, which I assume was decorative, felt a bit cold.
Adding some background music, or turning up the volume if it was already playing, would also help create a warmer atmosphere. Overall happy with our experience.

Amazing service and delicious food. We had the Satay Chicken spicy middle tofu and the pad Thai (highly recommend). Really good portion size and great value. Definitely worth a visit.

May 7, 2025 Update: So I decided to give Sabhai Thai another try and unfortunately it did not go well. I ordered the papaya salad and beef/bamboo dish. Both were overseasoned; very salty and very sweet. This confirmed my initial review on May 6, 2025 below. Overall, Sabhai Thai is not bad…its also not great either. I wish they would dial down the salt and sugar.

I tried takeout from Sabhai Thai amd found that the basil chicken was really, really sweet. The flavors were nice, but I found the sweetness to be overpowering. I’d need to try some other dishes to see if this was across the board. Nice option for Thai food in Langford though.

Excellent Thai Cuisine in the center of Langford. Upon entering, I saw a blackboard presenting their off-menu specials and decided to order from there.

First, I ordered Golden Pockets and they were pork samosas on a bed of crispy rice noodles accompanied by beet & carrot salad. The presentation was excellent and the dish was scrumptious. Nam Tok Nua (Steak Salad) was absolute perfection. The steak was cooked medium-rare, juicy and tender. The vegetables in the salad were highly refreshing and I loved the crunchy crispy rice they put in. The Beef Massaman Curry was sublime. The tender beef chunks were bathed in a rich coconut curry that was super flavourful. The portions were massive for all three dishes as well.

This restaurant really nailed the presentation of each dish, and I really appreciate the effort that they put in. I cannot emphasize enough that this place is amazing and I would definitely come back again.

The food is bland tasting, dried out, burnt meat, overpriced, and very chaotic atmosphere! Service is slow , and I have seen staff literally pick up the ringing phone at the front and hang up.. guess they dont want to answer or are too disorganized to have one person stationed at the phone. There are much better Thai restaurants out there than this one!

Food and service very good. The layers of flavors shine through on most dishes. We had guests over for a BBQ but weather did not cooperate. Decided to order from here due to guests being from South East Asia. All but one dish amazing. The two half chickens we ordered were on the dry side. All other dishes amazing though. Will definitely return here for more.
