Sababa Pizza Inc. – Hoping They Reopen Soon

Sababa Pizza Inc. was one of those rare gems in Long Island that truly stood out — especially for their falafel sandwich. In fact, it was the best falafel sandwich I ever had on Long Island. The only place that could beat it for me was Zyara Restaurant in Astoria, Queens, but Sababa’s was right up there with the best.

Their pizzas were also very good — fresh, flavorful, and always satisfying. While they also had a sushi business on the side (which I never tried), their main draw for me was always that incredible falafel sandwich. Perfectly seasoned, generous portions, and packed with flavor — it was a meal I’d look forward to every time.

It’s a real shame that they’ve had to close temporarily. Good food, good quality, and that kind of consistency aren’t easy to find. I truly hope the owners can bring Sababa back, because Long Island is definitely missing one of its tastiest spots.

Pizza tasted ordinary but service was excellent. In many other places, pizza comes out of the oven so hot that I have to wait awhile to eat. By contrast, here it came out very quickly and with the right (for me) level of warmth.

My boys and I attended the “soft open” and tried the regular pizza and the brick oven pizza. My pickiest eater had 2 regular slices and said he loved the pizza. I thought the brick oven pizza was absolutely delicious with just the right hint of char flavor and a perfect crust.

Just wanted to genuinely shout out Sababa Pizza as someone also new to the town. I’m a SAHM of 2 under 2 and taking them both out alone is always daunting but tonight we quickly stopped off to eat at Sababa after the library and it was great! The staff is so friendly, the pizza is yummy (much better than other places around here I have tried), they have high chairs, great Israeli music playing – we just loved it and I felt so comfortable and calm even though it was witching hour (if you know you know) and so close to their bedtimes. Plenty of room too. Will be going a lot more!!

Been waiting for a kosher pizza place to open in the area. Pizza was fresh, well seasoned with a perfect cheese to sauce ratio. The staff was so kind as well. Will be returning ! Thank you

My family and I absolutely love Sababa! This is some of the best pizza I’ve had anywhere. The regular pizza is great and the brick oven pizza is even better. And then there’s the sushi. I have to admit, I am normally put off when sushi is served at a pizza place and had very low expectations. But the sushi at Sababa is better than the sushi we have back home in Los Angeles. I found myself coming back and ordering sushi over and over again. The tuna poke bowl is my favorite and I’m going to miss it when we go back home. I can’t wait to visit again when we visit next summer.

I recently dined at Sababa pizza, and it was a fantastic experience. The pizzas were incredibly delicious, with a perfect blend of fresh ingredients and a crispy, yet chewy crust. The service was prompt and friendly, makzing the meal even more enjoyable. The cozy atmosphere and reasonable prices make it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. I highly recommend Sababa Pizza to any pizza lover looking for a memorable dining experience.

Came here with the family when we needed a quick kosher bite. Atmosphere was good. More than enough room to sit down. Everything was super fresh and delicious. They hand make all of their falafel, hummus, and even mozzarella sticks! Was super good and the whole family enjoyed. Plenty of parking too.

The food is great and the staff is amazing. I went there on a Saturday night at 11:30 and wanted to try the sushi (yes I know it’s risky on a Saturday night to get sushi) and it was incredible. One of the best rolls I’ve ever had. The gentlemen at the counter recommended the Neshumi roll. WOW! Unbelievably fresh, melts in your mouth.

Falafal was terrific and the pizza was great as well. Highly recommend going here, even on a Saturday night for Sushi 😉

The food is delicious and the owners are the nicest people. The pizza is great but I come for the babagaboush. It is my favorite thing and they make it so yummy and fresh!! So glad we have this addition to our neighborhood.
