Had a great time at Saahil. The ambiance is beautiful, the food was delicious and aromatic. The chicken biryani was phenomenal and the chicken tikka was mouthwatering as well. The mocktails were quite refreshing. It was a very nice experience and we will definitely be returning. It’s very nice to finally have a nice Pakistani restaurant. Highly recommend! Definitely get a reservation since it fills up nicely.

Nothing could have made this experience better, everything from the ambience to the service, the food to the mocktails- what a hidden gem.

From the moment you enter your feel like you are in a downtown, upscale lounge, gorgeous decor and lighting, music at just the right volume to create a vibe yet still hear the people you’re with.

Mr. M greeted us with a smile and proceeded to create a fabulous dining experience. Our lunch was full of delicious recommendations and perfectly timed course after course. Fresh herbs amplified the flavors in every dish. We had the lentils and the okra with eggplant, followed by the beef kebab. The garlic naan was just right.

Sometimes kebabs can be flavorful yet tough, these were so tender and tasty with a soft lingering heat, Best I’ve ever had. Taking a bite of beef with the cucumber salad wow! Clearly the chef knows how to handle meat and combine spices.

The mocktails were so well crafted, i didn’t miss the alcohol!

First time i ever had green apple creme brulee, next to their tea and homemade sugar cookie, perfect end to the meal.

This is a perfect spot to impress a business associate, hold a networking event or have a romantic date night. We can’t wait to return, so many other dishes to try!

Everything was really good, from environment to presentation and actual taste of the food. We received great service. Nihari portion was really good. It wasn’t a “Nalli Nehari” but for Nihari its taste was authentic. Goat biryani was well prepared with tender meat, just the portion was a little small, smaller for an individual too. Burns road chicken tikka was tasty and tender too. We were given complimentary veg pakora, I loved the egg plant one. The servers were very knowledgable, and polite. Overall I highly recommend it.

I recently went to Saahil, and as soon as I walked in, I was impressed with the cleanliness and ambience. Immediately, we were given the menus and asked about our drink preference. Our waitress was very thoughtful and constantly kept coming to our table to check on us and refill our water. In my opinion, the service is absolutely exceptional.
Moving on, I thought the food was very flavorful and had great quality, but the portions were quite small for the price per dish for someone with a huge appetite like me. The Samosa Chaat, Nihari, Biryani and Chicken Tikka were amazing. However, I was a bit disappointed with the Goat Karahi. While the dish was tasty, it didn’t serve complete justice to what a Pakistani Karahi is supposed to be. But when you account for the ambience and fine dining experience, it makes up for the lack of full authenticity in the dish.
Ultimately, this restaurant is a great place to go for special occasions.

Last night, while visiting from Tampa, I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Saahil Restaurant with friends. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance felt warm, elegant, and welcoming—exactly what you hope for in a fine dining experience. The attention to detail in the décor, lighting, and table setting immediately set the tone for a special night. The food was simply outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented, thoughtfully prepared, and bursting with authentic, refined flavors. You could taste the care in each bite—from the perfectly balanced spices to the freshness of the ingredients. It wasn’t just dinner; it was a culinary experience.
And then came the desserts and chai—equally delicious and comforting. The kind that makes you slow down, sit back, and savor the moment with great company.
The servers and staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, attended to, and enjoying every moment. Their hospitality was genuine, attentive, and heartfelt without ever being intrusive.
If you’re anywhere in the Virginia/DC area, this is a place you absolutely must visit. Saahil delivers not just a meal, but an experience you’ll remember long after the night ends.

We visited this place on a weekend afternoon and as soon as we entered the place was pleasantly surprised with the ambiance. It a very warm and cozy environment. The delicious food just made our experience even better. We ordered the okra chaat, lamb chops, and the Pershawari mutton. Sticky toffee pudding to end on a sweet note.

If you want authentic desi taste with some upscale ambiance I would highly recommend it.

It was a Sunday night, and our group of six decided to try Saahil, the only fine-dining Pakistani restaurant in the area. We were asked to wait while they “set up” a table, which took about 14 minutes. During this time, we were left standing at the entrance without being offered chairs, even though tables for four were available.
The menu is quite limited, and there is a mandatory 21% service charge, regardless of service quality. While the food tasted good, the portion sizes were very small for the price. The $24 Chicken Karahi was made with what seemed like a single quarter chicken leg. The $8 assorted pakora plate contained only eight pieces, four of which were very small.
Another disappointing experience was with ordering naan. The server initially told us we could order it later, but when we tried to do so, we were informed that the kitchen was already closed. The server neither warned us in advance nor showed any apology or empathy. When we mentioned that we were not given a heads up, the server told us that all restaurants close at 10 snarkily. We also asked for water during the meal, which the server completely forgot.
These service issues made us seriously question the mandatory 21% service charge. Due to the poor service experience, we will not be returning.

Phenomenal! Food and service were impeccable. We went today at lunch and Mr Em our server elevated the experience. My husband and I go around on dates eating at Indian or Asian restaurants and we saw this place on instagram and it did not disappoint!
Their chai tea, lamb chops ( the best we’ve ever had), goat biryani, eggplant and okra salad were so good. We tried Banarsi pana puri for the first time and it’s amazing! For desert we had the toffee pudding and it capped the lunch to perfection. We will be back soon!!

A rare find that I can’t hold to myself! Here are my immediate thoughts- Food – Just delicious- tender meat (lamb chops, beef kabobs 10/0), chaats – Super tasty, fireworks in your mouth with so many amazing flavors, Naan – homemade, Desserts – Shahi Tukray (will make you want to come back for more). This is High End Dining with very respectable prices, the ambiance is cozy but has a modern twist. I took my parents and family here to celebrate my mom’s birthday (Punjabi parents and harsh critics lol) – they were blown away and my dad said “He’s impressed”! We felt satisfied, spoiled with the sweet kind pleasant service and our belly’s full. We will be surely visiting again. Saahil may look small from the outside but it will blow your mind away and is all- mighty once you get in. 🙂

I’ve been meaning to try Saahil since its opening but I finally made it last night. The host was kind and inviting. Murtaza, the general manager, seated us at a nice area of the restaurant and checked up on us throughout the night. He went above and beyond. The ambiance is warm, delicately colorful with just enough view to watch chefs curate their masterpieces, fresh in house!
Our servicer was kind and alert giving all of the guests the attention they needed. My friend and I tried the eggplant and crispy okra chaat which is mouthwatering with meticulously balanced high notes and low notes of flavor. The assorted pakoras is light and flavorful without all the oil. The lahori samosa chaat is also quite tasty with great texture and consistency. The karachi beef nahari is tender, succulent, saucy with a thickness that makes you want to dip your bread straight into the dish! The garlic naan melts in your mouth with all the flavors of fresh garlic and onions! We tried the rang-e-sehar and neemojito mocktails and they hit all the flavors we were looking for! We had a great experience at Saahil and I will definitely be returning soon.
