I’m so glad we were recommended this place, it’s now one of our favorites!! Matt, our server, was excellent. Truly a great guy who made our visit even more enjoyable. The food was wonderful, loved the house made sauces (try the ranch!), and portions were generous. So glad to see a restaurant who goes the extra mile to be a scratch kitchen, especially when so many places around here don’t. We had the fish dip, Cobb salad with shrimp, mahi catch of the day, and a burger. All were seasoned and cooked very well. And how could I forget the keys lime pie!? It’s amazing! Don’t listen to the other touristy places claiming to have the best, because it’s already here. Not too much whipped cream or sourness, with a nice thick crust. I’d eat a whole one by myself. Can’t wait to come back!

Food was AMAZING, poke nachos delish, conch fritters, crisp yet pillowy inside, and the Key Lime Pie… hands down best in the Keys!!! Atmosphere was cool, laid back and fun! Matt was the best, knew exactly what we should order! Highly recommend if in the Keys to stop and eat here!!

We were recommended to try their Key Lime Pie. We almost skipped coming here but are so glad we didn’t! I can confidently say that of the 10 key lime pies we tried, The S.S. Wreck takes the top spot!

We enjoyed this place so much we had to come back a second time before we headed home. We had Matt as our server both times. Matt knows his stuff. Definitely take his recommendations! The best Bloody Mary’s around!!! shout out to grill cook steaks were perfect! Can’t say enough about the food! Best key lime pie I have ever tasted!!

Stayed in the area, and honestly there arent a lot of places to choose from, but man, im glad we tried this place. The staggering was friendly, and the bartender was a trip. Food was some of the best around, and the key lime pie was absolutely the best I had! Priced were reasonable, place was clean. Definitely a local place, but totally worth the pit stop!

A must stop when visiting or passing through Fat Deer Key! Our server Matt was great and made us feel like we had been friends for a long time! The food is all good and plentiful! The cook did a great job on everything we ordered! Parking had some huge potholes but we were in a truck. Saturday night they had live music. We were visiting in October and we went early dinner to make sure we had no wait.

Wonderful, low key meal at S.S. Wreck. They had live music and amazing entrees. We ordered the ahi tuna appetizer, full rack of ribs, and mild wings (which were very hot!) Finally, we ordered the famous key lime pie & chocolate cake. Although I didn’t try the cake, it looked delicious. However….the key lime pie was absolutely the BEST I’ve ate in the keys. The slice was gigantic, enough for 3 people and the favors were smooth, creamy, and tart. Highly recommended!!! I’d definitely come back for that again!

Enjoyed my meal… Buffalo chicken salad was delicious and had a generous portion of well cooked chicken. Took home a slice of key lime pie that lived up to the hype. Portion sizes are good and pricing is reasonable for the area. Super nice staff…my waitress Joe was a sweetheart and had a nice conversation with Matt.
