My wife and I went to SS Dion for the first time a week ago. I called ahead as it was our five year anniversary, since I wanted to do something special. I wasn’t sure how to really make the night one to remember, but I was hoping to maybe do some kind of tasting menu. I did not see an option on the menu for something like that, but was hoping they would have some flexibility with a week’s notice. When I reached out, I spoke directly with the Chef who would be on that night (and I believe all other nights), Chef Nic. I asked him about the potential for a tasting menu with a wine pairing and not only did Chef Nic agree to the proposal, he seemed downright enthusiastic about it. The conversation was brief, but I could tell we were in good hands.

Cocktails were delicious, as were the appetizers and entrees (very fresh). We had two infants with us, but the service was right there to help us have a smooth dining experience. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Bristol.

It’s been many years since my last trip here. A radical change from the “old school” simple menu that my mother-in-law truly enjoyed. A significantly refreshed, elegant menu with grately upgraded options were very welcome! Absolutely worth a visit if you haven’t been here since 2015 – is not the same restaurant – an extremely welcome change and experience! Wait staff was excellent as well!

Our daughter and son in law had their wedding reception at SS Dion 3 weeks ago. Everything…Nick, the wait staff and the food…was exceptional, beyond what we all could have hoped for, in one of the most beautiful settings you can find. The experience was truly amazing, absolutely excellent in every way. We are all extremely grateful to Nick and all the wonderful staff at SS Dion!

I am a local resident and have been coming here for over 30 years. Tonight’s visit which included my aunt and uncle who haven’t been here since their marriage over 50 yrs ago proved to be embarrassing at the least. Julie our “server” made it more than obvious our being here was a nuisance at a minimum. Aside from being chastised for ordering lobster sautée which IS on the menu online but not on the current menu, constant eye rolling , aggressive tone and “tossing” the oyster crackers AT (angrily -and I truly wish I was being sensitive and this wasn’t actually happening) my uncle…the cherry on top of a miriad of other rude faces and comments was when I ordered my espresso martini and requested a splash of Baileys to which the rude, demeaning and a stern response was “WE DONT PUT BAILEYS IN OUR ESPRESSO MARTINIS!!!!

I have been going to this restaurant going on 40 years and always had a great to decent meal. But Yesterdays experience was one of the worst l had at any restaurant. I ordered oysters on the half shell that was the size of a quarter got chicken Parmesan for my entrée that was overcooked and tasteless told the waitress and she was kind enough to get the kitchen to cook another one that wasn’t much better .management never came over to the table and address the problem leaving the waitress in awkward position.

I came all the way from Kansas City , to visit family and all I got recommended was SSdion, my whole trip I was looking for a good fish n chips while I was here , and my god did i find it here . We were a party of 8 and everything we had was truly amazing . If you are visiting Bristol the SSdion is a MUST stop ! ! Brett was our server and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better; He met are huge party with a smile . The service and staff was so generous and as a outta towner I felt a strong welcome ! Will definitely be stopping by here when ever I visit again! 10/10 !!!!!!!!

The husband and I were celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary. We had never visited this establishment before but definitely will be back. The restaurant has taken good care to make sure that safety measures are in place due to Covid 19. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. We sat outside on the covered deck and timed it perfectly for a beautiful sunset. I would definitely recommend.
