First time eating Korean food, and went with my mother for lunch. Small but a nice comfy atmosphere. We were there during freezing cold weather, maybe a good 9 degrees. I ordered some hot food, like the gulegoni stew and a honey plum tea which were something I haven’t had before. The dish was great nice and hot, perfect for a cold day. And the honey plum tea was sweet but also flavorful. I enjoyed them both. Would come back again. The server was nice and optimistic too, so I say it was a good experience!

I had a chance to visit Ryu’s Kitchen today for lunch and I enjoyed the experience. The store is a small store in a fairly nondescript strip mall off of Hobson Road. But when you step inside, you realize that you have stumbled across something unique. The inside is very nicely decorated and very inviting. The lighting is warm and the decorations give you the feeling of being at home.
The dish that I tried today was the Bulgogi Stew. This dish came highly recommended to me by someone who frequents this store quite a bit. I have to say that she was not wrong in her recommendation. This dish was amazing!
It’s basically a beef stew with bulgogi beef, glass noodles, and vegetables served with white rice. Initially, it’s a bit of a challenge to figure out how to eat the soup/stew out of the bowl with either your fork, chopsticks, or rather large spoon. But no matter how you get it to your mouth, you will be glad you did. The broth/sauce is fantastic complimented by the beef and veggies. Add some rice to the mix and it’s yummy time. This is something I recommend would to everyone.
I also tried one of their Honey Teas. I tried the iced honey Quince tea. It’s a graphic 3 mile tea similar to an Apple or Pear in weight and sweetness.
I will definitely be trying to get back here to check out a couple more of their dishes.

One of my favorite places to eat. I drive a while just to eat here. The service is amazing, and it’s a nice quiet place to relax. They have a good variety of Korean dishes, and the weekly specials are always good. I often have a hard time deciding what to have. Fairly priced, good portions, and always delicious!

I’m from Houston, TX where there are plenty of authentic Korean places. This ranks in the middle for me. It’s a small local spot, really good atmosphere. Very clean, and service is nice. I got the spicy chicken soup with banchan (sides) and it was alright. The soup is flavorful, but I wish the menu was more descriptive because if I had known there were certain things in the soup (egg, noodles) I would’ve opted for a different dish. The banchan was good, but most places I’ve been to give banchan for free with the meal. Overall, nice atmosphere but if they had more authentic options for sides and soups it’d be perfect for me! That said, I love supporting local businesses, and this was a decent solo lunch date.

Fun little atmosphere, friendly staff! A little pricey for the portions but very fresh! The pork belly was by far my favorite, crispy with great flavor and a great stir fry mix. The Korean Chicken wins second place, just sad to see such a small portion.

Quaint place. Clean. If you would rather have fried rice and steamed rice, forget it. If you would like to add extra protein to your dish after you’ve received it, forget it. You can get around that by ordering it when you initially put the order in. I’m not knocking this they can do as they please. The staff was friendly, the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely go back again.
