We enjoyed everything we got here. We started with the Harumaki (spring rolls) – very good, perfectly oily but still somewhat light since they have a vegetable filling.
For sushi we got a Philadelphia roll (with fresh salmon instead of smoked), a salmon roll, and a shrimp tempura roll. Salmon quality was great. Shrimp tempura roll was difficult to manage with how large each piece was, but it tasted very good.

I’ve been looking for a really good sushi spot in Downtown Chicago, and Ryo Sushi checked every box. I’ve tried a few places in the area, but this one has been the best so far. The sushi was incredibly fresh, well made, and full of flavor. Friendly, attentive staff and great vibes. Highly recommended

Solid downtown spot for a ramen or sushi fix. The fish to rice ration on the yellowtail roll we order was perfect. The Tonkatsu ramen and Tempura shrimp udon were both very good. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the downtown area.

I had a snow crab roll and a salmon lover roll. The snow crab roll tasted like tuna and the salmon lover roll was just… alright. It tasted like the fish had all been sitting together and absorbing each others flavors. The service was great though.

I ordered the Volcano Roll and the Mountain Roll! I liked the second one better, the Volcano roll wasn’t bad but wasn’t interesting either! Too much sauce and blending salmon and tuna, i didn’t like the combined flavour!
Service was great! They don’t have gluten-free options on the menu but if you ask they can remove some ingredients (the crunch for example) and make it gluten-free. They brought iced water by default, but replaced with hot water when i asked! The food presentation was interesting too!
The interior isn’t the coziest, but a solid 4; clean with some good looking lights here and there!

Online it said they opened at 10:30 a.m., but they weren’t open then. We came back later for dinner, and I’m glad we did. The atmosphere was good, the waiter was kind, and the food presentation was a 10/10. The food itself was solid, about an 8/10. Would recommend.
