Craving a little Hawaiian food. Split a spam musubi with mom. Made to order, spam and rice were hot. I ordered three meat combo platters. Kalua pig, kal bi and Teri beef. Mac salad and rice were my side choices. Everything had good flavor. Wasn’t disappointed.
Mom ordered coconut shrimp and tonkatsu. Both were fired. On the dry side. Same sides as mine. This wasn’t so good. Pork was cut very thin, so it dried out when fried. The shrimp had some flavor but dry as well.
I’d say give them a try. Maybe taper your expectations a little.
Clean and nice service.
It was raining a little bit. They do have a little patio seating area.

I went to and tried their burger — it was amazing! The meat was juicy, the bun was soft, and the flavor was perfect. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. I’ll definitely come back again!

This is a new restaurant in our neighborhood and they serve our families two favorite types of food. Hawaiian and Mediterranean and they do both very well!

After ordering they gave me a free sample, which was literally a meal all its own, to nibble on while I waited for my order.

I’m incredibly impressed with this new hole in the wall shop.

Welcome to the neighborhood!

Great menu and service, but food wasn’t great quality.
The pork was dry, grilled veggies were oily, and the fruit was old.

Rutt’s might be new to the area because this place has been around since 1976! A well pit together dining area awaits you in the patio. Great music. Friendly staff. Exceptional food. The katus was juicy and had a flavorful crust. The kalbi had a unique marinade that is worth coming in for. The macaroni salad was safe and nkt as bold as you can find other places. Clean restrooms and kid friendly. Not much pakring, so order take out once in a while!

Came with my son. A staple when I lived on the west side in Venice. First time at this location. Got the katsu/shrimp combo. . Chicken was dry. Rice was old. Bland with no flavor. My son got French toast plate. He said it didn’t have any flavor other than syrup. I’ll give it another go in the future maybe but the food came out too fast which is not a great sign for fresh food. Service was odd.. she handed me the POS to do myself? It was was odd. Thinking back the experience was uncomfortable with our server.

Excellent Hawaiian food, and incredibly large portions for reasonable prices.

My wife’s omelette was huge, their home fries are incredible – I think deep fried rather than pan/griddle fried, and so they have a wonderful crisp exterior and melt in your mouth interior. The side of roasted veggies she got was huge and they were equally delicious (she ate her omelette herself and didn’t share 😉

I had the loco moco and two spam musubi which was too much food for me – both wwee excellent. We both had some leftovers!

YES! I ate lunch there once and was instantly convinced it was the right place to cater my ~20 person party.
They came through with 80 vegan spring rolls, so good. We also got multiple types of chicken, rice, veggies, etc. They really go the extra mile and give you serving utencils, sauce for the rolls, etc. The whole party was raving. So good.

Low quantity of ratings made us cautious but went for the craving for a Loco moco. Started with a couple of slices of French toast and the Hawaiian Royal. Both were perfect, and the house “hot sauce,” more like a finely chopped salsa, was hot and perfect for the Royal. Ended up not wanting to eat the Loco moco there since the med size Royal was enough for 4, but it was really good when I got around to it later. Absolutely would recommend.
