Tasty dishes, generous portions, quick service, and an authentic atmosphere await you in downtown Oneida, TN!
Get off the beaten track for a Filipino snack or a real-deal meal. Nestled between the two service buildings that constitute Carson’s Budget Tire, Alignment, and Automotive, this charming local restaurant offers a variety of delicious dishes from the Philippines, Japan, and other culinary hot spots across Asia.
Tori, the cheerful host and server, greeted us with a welcoming smile, giving us a full rundown of all the specials. My parents savoured the Pancit and Lumpia (spring rolls) and Chicken Chop Suey half and half (noodles & fried rice). I opted for Chicken Adobo with Rice Noodles (considered the national dish of that beautiful Pacific archipelago) and was not disappointed!
Learning that we were passing through Oneida on our way from Ontario to Georgia, Chef Ruth came out of the kitchen to greet us- turns out she trained in the art of sushi in Niagara Falls, Ontario! We had a great chin-wag about our individual journeys that brought us to the United States.
After that, we loaded up our leftovers (enough for another meal), paid the bill, and hit the road. Well, not before the gift of a few Filipino empanadas for our next coffee break.
See you again, Ruth and Tori!

Food is great and Ruth is very sweet. It’s a small operation so be patient but the Filipino food is both authentic and delicious. Drove from Knoxville and was not disappointed. Will definitely be back!

I’m an Asian, craving some Asian food, and I heard about this place from the locals, so I had to try it. Went there twice in a row. I enjoyed the fried fish with vinegar sauce and garlic rice. Fell in love with the chicken soup. Beautiful presentations. Authentic flavors. Wonderful service from Ruth and staff. Cute, little restaurant. I absolutely love this place. I’m definitely coming back here again.

Where do I start, I went in to Ruth’s today for the first time to give it a try, I really like to try all kinds of cuisine! First off the restaurant is very homey, and welcoming & most of all CLEAN! We were greeted by Ruth herself who was very friendly and explained to us each menu item. We chose the daily special of Noodles & garlic rice, it came with some egg rolls. We also got their new mango bubble tea which my son said was AMAZING!! And I would have to agree! The food was very fresh and had a great flavor profile! Lots of fresh vegetables and a hearty helping! I also got the spicy crab red roll sushi! It was very good, and very fresh! Overall we had a very pleasant experience and I highly recommend Ruth’s Little Asian Kitchen to anyone.

As one of the very few Asian restaurants around town, it offered a menu of traditional Filipino food and, surprisingly, sushi! Stepping into the restaurant, you feel like you are transported to one of the traditional eateries in the Philippines, but with a Tennessee twist!
Ruth was very warm, kind and welcoming– an attitude that matched the homey personality of the restaurant.
Ruth’s Little Asian Kitchen is a great place to eat, whether you live in the area or are just driving through. We stopped by this restaurant after a day at the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, and the food was delicious.

The food was amazing and got done very quickly. The owner of the restaurant was very kind and gave us better service than we’ve had anywhere! We definitely will be coming again! The whole experience was a 10/10. I would have took a picture of our food but it was so good I ate it all by the time I pulled my phone out to write a review lol

We have eaten Asian cuisine across the country from New York to San Francisco. It’s our go to because a lot of it is GF. Ruth’s kitchen is a gem! It was a welcome surprise to find this good of home cooked food tucked away in Oneida Tennessee! Ruth, her husband and the staff are super and go out of their way to make your meal exceptional! We’ve been to Oneida twice and both times eaten at Ruth’s. I guarantee, next time were back we’ll be eating there!

Best Asian restaurant outside the Big South Fork National Park. They are located in the back of tire & mechanic parking lot, but don’t let that fool you! She always has a weekly rotating menu. Everything is fresh, and everything tastes great. Daily specials always come with Lumpia (spring rolls) and the option of garlic fried rice or white rice. The photo is of her Longaniza special. She threw in some pickled papaya (slaw) and a fried egg

Filipino food was great! Siapoa made from scratch. Lumping was awesome! Chicken Adobo was great. Too much onions in the adobo for me but the flavor was great. Lechon Kawali was nice and crispy.
