Great old style meat n 3 located off the square in Shelbyville. If you like home cooking and fresh salad bar look no further they also have breakfast not tried it yet. Got the fried catfish with white beans fried okra and turnip greens. The highlight of the meal was the warm hot fudge cake. Will definitely be back

On the way to Estill Springs Church of Christ tonight Dana and I decided to stop in at Ruth’s Kitchen in Shelbyville. Dana ordered Kraut & Weenies with Fried Squash, Fried Apples, Mashed potatoes and dinner roll. Steven ordered Chicken and Dumplings, Mashed Potatoes, Cole Slaw and dinner roll. This was our first time here and will not be the last. The Chicken and Dumplings were the Best I’ve had in Bedford County and Dana said the same on her Fried Squash. Everything else was good.

Ok so the food was great. That’s why I’m giving 2 stars. French fries were some of the best I’ve ever had. The hot fudge sundae however was not great and looked nothing like the picture, which was made by the horrible waitress. Waitress was rude and kept bringing stuff and slaming it on the table, then walking away without saying anything. The spoons left out by soup were all dirty. THE WORST PROBLEM…tried 3 different ketchup bottles, all were almost empty, and ketchup was disgusting and tasted fermented. They do not change and clean them regularly. Then waitress gave us a pad to pay and tip was set to 25%. She didn’t deserve 10%. But the only lower option was 20%. Ridiculous. Do better.

originally ordered a meal on doordash and Ruth’s kitchen missed the mark a bit however the owner, Ruth, went above and beyond to make it right and gave me perhaps the best service and food I’ve ever recieved. Quality was immaculate despite ordering an hour before close. Would recommend this place 110% its hard to find a place where you feel like the people care about service and quality food and Ruths kitchen checks the marks in my book

Omg I can’t say this enough but this food was amazing. I see why they have good reviews! I got fired chicken with spaghetti and fried okra it was amazing! I also got fried green tomatoes and jalapeño poppers. They were so good. I did DoorDash with them and my food was still hot and fresh. I will be eating there again. Thank yall so much!

We sat at our booth and were greeted and got our drinks after the fact our waiter came back and didn’t say anything just stood there and waited for us to order we ordered 2 omelets there wasn’t a whole lot of people there so i thought it would be pretty quick so we waited for our food but people who can i. After us and ordered more stuff then we did got their food before us and i was like okay maybe it just takes a little longer for omelets i was waiting for 20 minutes before i anybody said anything to me about my food and all they said was we are waiting on toast and while people were still bringing food out they were stilll waiting on our toast for 15 more minutes so we just got up and left not that good of a experience

You can tell everything you eat there is made classily to perfection would not waste my money on any other breakfast spot around this town because it’s not going to fill your appetite like Ruth’s Kitchen. 10/10 Amazing
