We visited this place for dinner while traveling in Portland.
We got there much earlier than our reservation time and had to wait, but the ambiance made it worthwhile.
Only Mark, our server, was kind and attentive.
The portions were generous, and although we couldn’t finish everything, the calamari stood out as our favorite.

This was an impromptu dinner with a buddy and a new unexpected business contact. We were visiting Portlant on just a quick. Weekend bro trip and ran into a guy that we decided we needed to sit down and talk with.
They were booked. But were able to get us a table in the open seating side. Which was awesome.
Our server did a great job. Really on top of it and catered to our every need. The drinks were fantastic. I ordered the a medium rare t-bone it was cooked to perfection. Actually all 3 off our meals were great. Desert was delicious as well. I 110% recommend going here if you want a good steak and are in the Portland area.

Giacomo absolutely went above and beyond to ensure my first dining experience at Ruth’s Chris was memorable and amazing!
The building is beautiful and presents a great atmosphere.
Unique, specialized food and beverage offerings make for delectable options to please any palette.
I would recommend making reservations, as they were very busy. We had reservations, so there was no wait and they have a wonderful automated system in place that makes it very User-friendly.

Had the privilege of being served by Giacomo on my wife and I’s 10 year anniversary. We shared the 40oz Tomahawk along side the brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. Best steak I’ve ever had alongside some fantastic service from Giacomo!

Wow! This was our first time here and it exceeded everything we had heard! We were seated promptly despite arriving early following the symphony letting out. Service was insanely good. Our waiter was extremely prompt, gave us the appropriate amount of time to make our selections and made suggestions. We had the goat cheese artichoke dip to start and loved it. For dinner, we had the pre fixed meal with soup (French onion for me) and house salad for my husband. Both were great. Our steaks and lobster arrived quickly and were fantastic! Somehow our next course arrived exactly as we were finishing our previous course. The ambiance was very cozy feeling and the staff was hustling but at the same time, they never made us feel rushed. The portions also felt very generous (we ended up taking our mashed potatoes home because we were full!). If the opportunity arrives, we would definitely go back! It was well worth the splurge on our date night. One of the best dining experiences we have had in quite some time!

Have to say last nights dinner was superb!! Drinks in the bar fantastic, as was the staff. Dinner unbelievable…. melt in your mouth filets that were cooked to perfection, always delicious augratin potatoes, incredible sautéed mushrooms, a Ceasar salad that was perfectly dressed AND large enough for us to share, maybe the best dirty martini EVER all served by Mark, who was on it!!! Great job!! As long time customers, this was one of the best!!

You won’t be disappointed! You’ll start with a soup or salad. I chose the salad with balsamic vinaigrette and was very pleased. The complimentary bread loaf reminded me of really good homemade bread, so good. My 6 oz. filet mignon was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. The shrimp was very flavorful, the creamed spinach was like no other, and the lobster mac and cheese was creamy and tasty. The lemon drop cocktail was just the way I like it. Will return in the future to spoil myself again.

It was a wonderful dinner experience, the service was amazing as well.
We had 4 pm dinner reservations and as usual timed to be there 10 min early also planned to use the valet parking they offer but….. they do not open the front doors until 4 pm and there is no Valet until after they open.
A bit confusing if you are the person who prefers to be timely.
We parked in front of the restaurant expecting to valet but since there was no one there, fortunately we found close by city street parking a block away.
We were greeted and sat shortly after 4pm, the place was pretty empty the whole dinner experience so we may have not needed reservations for the opening time.
We really enjoyed our perfectly cooked prepared meals. I believe it is overpriced but it was great tasting.
For 2 of us dinner was $265, not an expensive I would agree to have often for dinner but it was a special occasion.
Due to the high price I have a hard time recommending Ruth Cris and due to the price I have a 4 star instead of 5 star, I also believe the high price for dinner is the reason why it was pretty empty while we had dinner.
