From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.

The food was absolutely amazing — perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of flavor.

The drinks were right on point and balanced beautifully, and the desserts were the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal.

The location itself is excellent — elegant, comfortable, and set in a beautiful part of Wailea.

But what truly stood out was the service. Huge shoutout to Manager Mary-Lynn and Waiter Patrick for their warm hospitality and top-tier professionalism.

They made us feel genuinely welcome and ensured every detail was perfect.

If you’re in Maui and looking for a memorable dining experience, Ruth’s Chris in Wailea is a must.

A high end steakhouse, slightly more casual than other Ruth’s Chris on the mainland. Intimate atmosphere. The professional and friendly staff are excellent.

The steaks are delicious. Various cuts are prepared to order on extremely hot plates. Aged appropriately and meticulously prepared, they’re the best.

Side dishes are a large carte. Each are the perfect accompaniment to the entrees. If you’re not sure what you’d like, ask your server for suggestions.

A full bar area is available.

There is plenty of free parking adjacent to the restaurant.

This place is expensive, but definitely worth it! It’s the best place I’ve gone to for steak here on Maui. Until my dad and I ate here tonight, I thought I knew a good steak. Thank you for making me realize I’ve been eating steak wrong for 40+ years. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is calm and quiet. It’s a dining experience definitely worth the cost! Oh, and a word of advice; when they tell you a side dish/dessert is big, take their word for it. I barely finished my apple pie a la mode! Anyway, go check them out at the Shops At Wailea!

We had dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steak House yesterday and it was a truly excellent experience.

The steak was outstanding — in my opinion even better than at Nobu. Perfectly prepared, full of flavor, and cooked exactly as ordered. My wife had the Caesar salad and said it was the best Caesar salad she has ever had.

The desserts were absolutely phenomenal, a perfect way to finish the meal.
The service was exceptional — attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly.

We enjoyed it so much that we immediately made another reservation for dinner tomorrow.

Highly recommended.

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is a wonderful restaurant tucked away in the back of the Wailea Shopping Center. You can enjoy some relaxing music before heading in for a delicious meal.

Although we didn’t have a reservation, we were fortunate to find a spot right away and were seated promptly.

They offer early bird specials between 4:30 and 6:00 p.m., so I made it just in time—only a few minutes before the steak special ended!

I ordered the steak with shrimp, which came with a salad and dessert. It’s such a great deal if the timing works out for you. All their dinners are Al La Carte, but this deal comes with a side so I did the garlic mashed potatoes and they were delicious .

Our server, Jared, was fantastic—very attentive and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. His kindness made the experience even better.

We were seated near the window, and it turned out to be the perfect time to enjoy the sunset. It was truly a memorable evening.

Everything was delicious. Entrees and sides were cooked well and tasted yummy. We ordered dessert and got one with strawberries. The strawberries had some sort of cleaning chemical on them that tasted foul. We kept one to try and get it chemically tested but there was not much luck on the island. It smelled like bleach or like a counter cleaning or floor cleaning product. I felt sick afterward. The staff was nice but we did bring this to their attention and it took them about 20 minutes to give us an apology and the manager did not even come out. I feel like it is a pretty standard expectation to assume that when your food is chemically contaminated someone should check on you.

I would go back, but they definitely need to check their cleaning and food storage practices. I guess I am lucky I only ate one, but had I eaten more I may have needed to go to the hospital. I reported it to the health department so maybe others in the future will not have the same issue. The service was ok, and the food was fantastic.

A Masterclass in How to Ruin Someone’s Birthday – Congratulations, Ruth’s Chris.

If your goal is to make a customer feel unwelcome, disrespected, and outright singled out, then Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Hawaii deserves a standing ovation. Because you absolutely mastered it.

I came with my family to celebrate my birthday. I politely asked our server if there was any birthday special.
He confidently told me “No.”
Then immediately followed it with “But happy birthday to you.”
Touching. Truly.

Imagine my surprise when I watched table after table around us receiving the fire strawberry birthday dessert, complete with staff singing Happy Birthday like they were auditioning for a musical. Seems like the special magically exists when it’s someone else’s birthday.

Just to confirm I wasn’t hallucinating, I asked another server what the dessert was. He instantly replied, “Oh, that’s our birthday and anniversary special.”

So the special exists.
Everyone around me gets it.
But not me.

When the original server returned and I asked about the contradiction, he suddenly developed selective memory.
He “didn’t know” it was my birthday.
He “didn’t remember” the conversation.
Funny how he remembered to say Happy Birthday to me earlier though.

At this point, the message was loud and clear:
Other guests deserve the celebration.
We apparently do not.

Whether it was discrimination, bias, or just shocking incompetence, the effect was the same:
My birthday dinner was ruined, and my family felt embarrassed on my behalf.

For a place that charges premium prices, Ruth’s Chris delivered the most uncomfortably unequal experience I’ve had in years.
If this is their standard of hospitality, then bravo — because I will never forget it.

And I will never return.

Management needs to take a serious look at what’s happening here, because this level of disrespect should not be happening to ANY guest.

We ordered the prix fix dinner selection that’s available between 4-6pm. The house salad was fresh and the salad dressing was excellent, if you really like blue cheese, as it is loaded with blue cheese chunks. The Louisiana gumbo was also good, as was the 6oz beef fillet. However, the lobster tail was awful, with an excessive dose of seasonings (paprika/salt?) and it was scrawny and had a weird texture. I could barely eat the lobster (a first for me!) Dessert, basically my favorite part of a meal, was bread pudding. The bread pudding tasted awful. It comes in a small round shape, as if it had been baked in a muffin tin. It was dry and tight, with a very skimpy dose of some kind of syrup. Even requesting more syrup did not help and the extra syrup did not make it more moist. I could not eat my bread pudding at all, and it remained on my plate intact, with barely a dent put on it when it was taken away. When the server removed it, he did not inquire whether I wanted to take it home or whether I just didn’t like. The restaurant has a cozy and clubby feel, but our server was aloof and haughty. All in all, I have no yearn to return to this Ruth Chris location.

Great customer service, enjoyed the stuffed mushroom and calamari for happy hour. ribeye steak cooked to perfection. Gumbo was interesting, definitely not authentic but edible and seasoned like soup.
