Food and service is always excellent. We shared a good sized and delicious fried calamari and had the special petite filet mignon each and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned! The creamed spinach and mashed were also very good and the bread pudding was to die for! Melissa was off so Bryan was our server and he was impeccable…friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Ruth Chris is a top notch restaurant that treats you like family! We all would definitely come back next time on big island!

I always order my steak as well done. However that day I am so glad I decided to go medium. Colour, texture and presentation everything was the best. Very moist and soft to chew… just loved it.
As I mentioned, Thomas, pampered us and I thoroughly enjoyed rum lighted strawberries. Sorry Thomas my picture doesn’t do justice with the presentation but we loved it. And how can I forget the yummy bread pudding. I never had one like yours before. Thank you Ruth Chris’ team for a wonderful last evening at your beautiful island.

My husband and I LOVE any Ruth Chris, but this one in particular is one of the best Ruth Chris restaurants we’ve ever been to. I booked my reservation easily on the Open Table app between 5 and 6:00 so that we could take advantage of the price fix menu, and in the comments stated that my husband and I and the couple who we invited to stay with us in Hawaii were both celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. I didn’t really think anything more about it until we got there. The first thing the hostess did was recognize us and congratulate us all on celebrating 30 years of marriage. We were greeted with a friendly smile and with much hospitality from the start. We were seated in the main dining room in a booth in Thomas’s section. He was one of the best waiters we have ever had! He also recognized our 30th anniversary celebration and told us the manager, Joe I believe, would like for us to pick out an appetizer to start the celebration. This was, to start with, over and above what we ever would have expected, and it really added to celebration of the evening. Next, we ordered from the Price Fix menu which included an appetizer, meat selection, and a dessert for $54.95 I believe, and we all selected the Filet Mignon, which was prepared to perfection. When it came time for dessert, Thomas once again treated each of the couples to a flaming strawberry dessert which was delicious! And, he also had brought 4 half glasses of champagne, but since none of us were drinkers, we had to decline his generosity with those. Honestly, I have never been treated so wonderfully at a restaurant when celebrating our anniversary. Thomas was a very attentive and thoughtful waiter, and we were so impressed by him, the waitstaff, and the restaurant in general. So much so we came back two more times during our 15 day stay to the island, once by ourselves, and the other time introducing another couple to the restaurant. We highly recommend Ruth Chris for a wonderful night out in Hawaii.

James is an amazing waiter! Very patient and helpful. Lilikoi mule was really good. I totally forgot about how hot the plates were. Burnt myself a few times Probably should have order the steat medium rare instead of medium but oh well. It was delicious regardless. Salad is just a salad but that bread pudding… Broke da mouth good!

My wife and I had been wanting to eat at this highly recommended steakhouse since moving to Hawaii and finally got the chance last night. Ample parking, elevator access and great views from the second-floor lanai. Hostess was quick to accommodate our request to sit outside – they hadn’t planned on opening the lanai last night but she said no problem and we were seated at a table within 5 minutes. Service staff was excellent and helped us choose the right dishes in consideration of my wife’s dairy allergy. Menu was not large but there were plenty of protein options to satisfy any appetite. Portions were larger than expected – everything was a-la-carte and we badly miscalculated, each of us ordering a steak and 2 sides, leaving us with plenty of leftovers to bring home. Service included complimentary bread and butter, as well as champagne and dessert on the house (we were celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary). Prices were high but certainly comparable to other premium steak houses we’ve visited, all with unsurpassed service. If you’re hungry for a delicious steak and looking for a novel dining experience, don’t miss Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Mauna Lani. There is full wheelchair access to this restaurant, though I never checked out the washroom during our visit.

Fantastic food though it’s definitely pricey. Mixed drinks were well made. Make reservations if you want indoor seating. The sunset from the outside dining area was gorgeous.

We recommend the cowboy cut ribeye. This place is amazingly delicious. Not for an everyday meal but definitely worth it for a special occasion.
