I’ve eaten and reviewed a lot of places, but Ruth’s Chris Steak House is my #1 favorite restaurant.

When it comes to the menu, you almost can’t go wrong. My top pick for each category is: appetizer – Spicy Shrimp; salad – Caesar Salad; soup – Lobster Bisque; entree – 16 oz Ribeye; side – Sweet Potato Casserole; potato – Garlic Mashed; vegetable – Roasted Brussels Sprouts; dessert – Chocolate Duo. Honorable mentions include the Calamari, Sesame Ginger Seared Sea Scallops, Lobster Mac & Cheese, Grilled Asparagus, and the Warm Apple Crumb Tart. The Sparkling Pomegranate Lemonade isn’t worth the sampler sip and the Flourless Chocolate Sin Cake is aggressively rich, but otherwise it’s a perfect menu.

The service is the magic of Ruth’s Chris. You essentially have three dedicated servers to make sure you’re covered your entire visit. This is a go-to place for my anniversary because I know everything will be taken care of. We once arrived with a gift card, but it had expired and we didn’t realize until the check. Without hesitation, the manager let us know they always accept gift cards, and he earned a lifetime customer by taking care of a potentially embarrassing moment for us and solving it immediately. Every visit lives us go its southern hospitality roots.

I enjoy this location. It meets the needs for all special occasions (romantic, formal, business, etc.). They offer valet parking, or you can find street parking. I personally like using Lot 3 to the south, and I pay for 2 hours.

For a first timer of Ruths and for my wifes birthday… in one word. Underwhelmed. With a reservation the wait was incredible but we thought that said something about how good it would be. It wasn’t. It told a story about over worked, slow, and unresponsive staff. Don’t get me wrong. The waiter was very nice… just very absent. The food was okay but (zero plating/presentaion) I’ve had better at half the cost. The atmosphere was like a sports bar with white tablecloths.. noise and people everywhere… $500 for about a $99 experience. Go to Mortons, STK or any other place.. I dont care got to texas roadhouse and eat peanuts at least there you get what you pay for.

We will come here once a year as a special treat! It’s super expensive but worth it. The lobster Mac and cheese is our favorite, we get two side dishes and bring some home for the next day (if it makes it that long). I have celiacs and unfortunately cant eat the Mac and cheese but they have so many options that are gluten free. Well worth it for us.

Ate here with my daughters celebrating a birthday. All the staff went above and beyond! Especially Bryan and Al. Both just did a top notch job. And the food was all perfect. Fillet, ribeye, lobster Mac, and the carrot cake for birthday dessert. And I always love the berries and cream.

This visit was unfortunately not a great experience overall.

On the positive side, I didn’t have to wait long for a table. I was dining alone while traveling for work and was seated promptly, which I appreciated.

The experience started to go downhill when I ordered a drink. I was ID’d, which is completely fine, but instead of the usual quick date check, the waitress made a noticeable issue out of my out-of-state ID and took it away from the table for an extended period of time. It felt unnecessary, awkward, and honestly rubbed me the wrong way.

For dinner, I ordered the bone-in filet, a baked potato, and a Caesar salad. The salad was fine but nothing memorable. The baked potato, however, wasn’t fully cooked and was noticeably firm inside, making it hard to enjoy.

The steak was the biggest disappointment. The bone-in filet came out with a chalky, dry, almost crumbly texture—completely unexpected for a steakhouse at this price point and not at all what I’ve come to expect from Ruth’s Chris.

Dessert was the raspberry sorbet, which felt very basic and tasted like something straight out of a carton—nothing special or house-made.

I never mind spending $200+ on a meal when it delivers on quality and experience, but this visit simply didn’t. Between the awkward service interaction and the underwhelming food, this was not worth the price and certainly not one of my better steakhouse experiences.

Overall, not the best showing for a brand I normally held to a much higher standard.

This was our first experience at Ruth’s Chris and it blew us away. Absolutely delicious from the appetizer which was the spicy shrimp, mouthwatering to our main course The 40 oz porterhouse that was cooked too absolute perfect perfection, the roasted brussels sprouts and lobster mac & cheese was chefs kiss. The cherry on top was Crème brûlée. Perfect dinner with the perfect dinner date thank you so much for such a wonderful first time experience.

Jeff and Connor were amazing. Great recommendations for our first time here.

We had the venison and a steak with a few sides and everything tasted great and the steaks were cooked correctly.

Atmosphere is a little meh, feels cramped and you can hear everyone’s conversations around you. For the price it isn’t worth it.

We made an online reservation for our anniversary and were seated quickly when we arrived. The table was set with rose petals and a happy anniversary sign. The service was outstanding, and the food was amazing. We finished with banana cream pie, which was incredible. A very good experience overall! 10/10!

Really good food my steak was wonderful! Just didn’t have any sauce for it. Salad was okay mash potatoes were good and desert was always amazing there! The only reason i give it 4 stars is the price.

The best filet we’ve ever had! So tender. Mateo and Bridger took great care of us! Zero wait with our reservation on Valentine’s. Those garlic mashed or the creamed spinach sides were fantastic. We split the lettuce wedge and chocolate sin cake and walked out full and happy. Excellent dinner experience. Puts my tri-tip to shame.
