My husband and I came to Ruth’s Chris in Austin to celebrate my 30th birthday, and wow… what an experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt perfect—elegant, cozy, and exactly what a milestone birthday deserves.
Katie, the manager, truly set the tone with her warmth and attentiveness she went beyond what any manager I have ever met would have done Katie truly made sure the experience was perfect, and our server Cameron was phenomenal—friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel so genuinely celebrated for my next visit I will be asking for him personally and I suggest anyone seeing this do the same. The service was just flawless!
The restaurant itself was spotless, the vibe was top-tier, and then there was the food… my God. Every bite was absolute perfection—rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. One of those meals you’re still thinking about days later. Also don’t leave without trying the Crème brûlée it is to die for!!
This wasn’t just dinner; it was an experience, and it made my birthday feel incredibly special. Thank you to the entire Ruth’s Chris team for making my 30th absolutely unforgettable. We will definitely be back!

Had NYE dinner at Ruth’s, so the staff were pretty busy and we ended up getting seated about 20 minutes after our reservation time. The staff were working as hard they could and gave everyone waiting prosecco. Got the pomegranate martini, blueberry mojito, filet, potato au gratin, and cheesecake. Everything was amazing, and the pomegranate martini was one of the best drinks I’ve had in Austin.

After hearing the brand referenced in so many songs over the years, we had always been curious about the steakhouse. We found ourselves in downtown Austin with some time to kill before a show and stopped in for happy hour. Everything is classy without being pretentious, and the prices during happy hour were genuinely surprising! The food was delicious, the steak cooked perfectly, and the artichoke dip was worth the trip itself. We’ll definitely be back.

Our waitress, Milen, was fantastic from the start. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything moved along smoothly. Water was brought out promptly along with some delicious bread and butter, and we were able to place our drink and entrée orders quickly without feeling rushed.
When the steaks arrived, they absolutely delivered. Each steak was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing—exactly what you hope for at Ruth’s Chris. The sides were also excellent and complemented the meal really well.
The manager on duty, Katie, stopped by our table during the meal. She was very nice and friendly, and it was great to see management checking in to make sure guests were having a good experience.
Overall, this location is clean, welcoming, and has beautiful décor that adds to the upscale atmosphere. From the service to the food, everything was top-notch. I highly recommend this location if you’re in Austin and looking for a great steakhouse experience.

Best tomahawk I ever had. Came for my fiancé’s birthday and Ruth Chris did not disappoint. Her ribeye was amazing. The sides? Top notch. Drinks? Divine. Dessert? Stupendous.
We were helped by Garrett and he went above and beyond to make our first time feel extra special. We will be back.

I visited this place after valentine’s day with my date.. so once I arrived a little bit after 8pm, I checked in with the hosts, they were actually welcoming, except one of them im not sure if she was the host manager but asked me if I smoked a cigarette before I came in, I was shocked and offended by her question, because I don’t smoke! I told her someone was smoking by the door once we entered. I shrugged the question off and they took us to our seat. The wait time was about 5 to 10 minutes. They sat us down at a section and AC was blowing cold air directly on me, I asked the host if we could be moved but she didn’t accommodate my request. I spoke the server Devon, he went beyond and above and found us another table. Devon customer service skills was very exceptional and he was the only reason why we stayed. The manager on duty that was walking around checking on everyone, she had a great personality and great customer service skills. I order the salmon dish with mash potatoes. The food was ok, mash potatoes was a little soft. There is no parking lot on site, so you would have to park at a near by garage to access this location.

Food was decent enough. Service was okay. I didn’t care for the dated environment, which yielded a drab ambiance. I could not even stage my food for the obligatory social media post because the lighting was so poor. Valet was also a complete circus. If I’m paying a premium, I want to be catered to in all aspects. Perhaps the servers and valet can coordinate when guests are nearing the completion of their meal so that they do not have to wait 30+ minutes in the cold awaiting their vehicle.

You can reserve your table online and 6th street is open so it’s easier to take an uber or drive up to the restaurant for parking. The staff is wonderful and the food is delicious. Perfect spot for intimate birthdays.

Absolutely worth your money, had an early birthday they out done their self like always, the staff is amazing. They remember us. Very disappointing experience. The sides (mac and cheese and baked potato) were under-seasoned and not enjoyable. Also, the valet service was extremely rude and made us wait far too long. We also mentioned it was a birthday dinner, but there was no acknowledgment at all. Definitely not the level of service or quality we expected for a special occasion.
