Wow!! Absolutely awesome dining experience!! The food was perfect. Highly recommend the filet mignon, sweet potato casserole, seafood gumbo, and the ravioli as an appetizer. My husband and I ate here tonight, and let me tell you—everything about this restaurant was fantastic. From the beautiful Christmas décor, to the above-and-beyond service from our server Lauran, to the delicious food, it was an incredible experience from start to finish.
We started with the crab cakes, which were the best we’ve ever had (not kidding!). I ordered the 8 oz. filet with sweet potato casserole and a Caesar salad. My husband had the New York strip with onion rings and a Caesar. We also tried their shrimp appetizer, which was out of this world.
The quality of the meat is truly prime grade—you can taste it in every bite. We will absolutely be coming back here!

I honestly debated on writing this review. I’m in the industry and run multiple restaurants downtown. But the more I thought about it, I felt I needed to. Because, I like the place and always have, and would hate to see this place decline. But my fiancée and I wanted to have a nice NYE dinner and recieved the direct opposite.
First the food. I ordered a Porkchop Medium and it came out super Well Done. Then, the Macaroni was also overcooked, no flavor, and super dry. Unfortunately, the Asparagus followed the same trend, extremely overcooked. Her entree was fine, but nothing to brag about.
Then to my next issue, the service. Completely awful, I won’t mention the servers direct name, but there were two bartenders back there, that could’ve assisted. One got our order and that was it for the rest of the experience. No refills on water, no suggestion on another beverage, didnt ask how the food was, or anything. We had to ask for our check to pay and leave, otherwise we may have been there waiting all night for some kind of acknowledgement. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t of complained to her, because being in the buisness, tough it up and move on, and hope next time is better.
However, paying $180.00 for two terrible meals and non existent service pushes it over the edge for me. Plus, I still left a 15% tip, which is basically not tipping for me, being in the industry. Easily, would of been 30% for good service.
Anyway, extremely disappointed. Felt like a big waste of money for trying to have a great meal with my fiancée for NYE.
Will debate if we will ever return unfortunately. Most likely not…

Thank goodness they have a dress code. It’s nice to dress up to go out to eat and not have to sit next to somebody wearing a backwards ball cap. This is a high-end restaurant and they expect their clientele that choose to eat in the dining room to be dressed in more classy fashion, it’s just more enjoyable when you and everyone else is attired nicely. The t-bone steak was cooked to perfection. I had ordered the cremini mushrooms as a side dish. They were delicious of course and the appetizer was barbecue shrimp. All very delicious, all served very professionally. This is the restaurant to go to when you’re celebrating a very special occasion.

Absolutely phenomenal establishment, well worth its name and price. Professional and courteous staff provide a very mellow, relaxed atmosphere with beautiful decor. Not to mention the most important part, the food. Mouth watering seafood, gorgeous appetizers, and breathtaking steaks come together to make you want fourths. Highly recommend to anyone celebrating an occasion or simply wishing to experience a memorable night.

Last night my husband and I dined at Ruth’s Chris to celebrate both Christmas and his recent retirement. For starters they seemed to have not had a table for us in spite of the fact that our reservation was made weeks ago, we were escorted to the back of the front dining room to a table set for 6 or 8? It was also obviously a room reserved for large groups. To the staffs credit they did break down the table to make it somewhat smaller and more suited for two, but due to the loud larger groups it was anything but an intimate or special occasion experience for us.
The steak and lobster were very good as well as the service, The sides however, were awful. The creamed spinach was so runny it could not be eaten with a fork , I ended up eating very little of it by dipping some table bread into it. My husbands potatoes were literally swimming in melted butter and extremely salty, He barely touched them.
We are no strangers to Ruth’s Chris. We have visited several in different cities and always had had a very good experience They used to be known for their sides. Not the case last night. We were extremely disappointed to say the least and I’m certain we will not recommend to others or return ourselves.
The rest of the dining atmosphere looked lovely, it’s where we should have and would have liked to have been seated given the fact that it was just the two of us.
