I dine at Ruth’s Chris semi-regularly and eat out quite often, so I’ve experienced a wide range of service. The food was great, as it always is, but what stood out to me this visit was the exceptional service.

My party of three can be… particular. We’re polite and respectful, but we definitely customize our food. Sierra, our waitress, was absolutely amazing. She was sweet, knowledgeable, attentive, and efficient. Not only did she make sure our meals were exactly how we ordered them, she kept our drinks full and checked in just the right amount to make sure we were happy and taken care of without being overbearing. I also appreciate that she did not remotely rush us. That can be a struggle at restaurants where they want to turn over the table, and I felt like her priority was to ensure we enjoyed our dining experience.

She was partnered with Melissa, and the two of them worked seamlessly together. As a team, they were truly on top of everything. I was extremely impressed, and the next time I visit Ruth’s Chris, I will absolutely be looking for — and requesting — Sierra and Melissa.

Highly recommend them both for an exceptional dining experience!

$300 down the drain… in this economy?! At a chain restaurant?! Girl, hold my 9oz glass of wine Ruth C charges $30 for a brand that Publix sells for $11 a bottle

My friends and I had an 8:15pm reservation and all arrived by 8pm. We didn’t get seated until after 9pm. No updates unless we went to the front counter and asked, no apology — just standing around in our nice outfits taking lobby pictures because what else do you do after ordering 2 rounds of drinks at the bar?!

They sat our group of ten at a table meant for eight, so we were basically elbowing each other all night. Service felt scattered with multiple servers, no real guidance or options, and long waits for everything.
Our appetizers came out room temp and arrived with the entrées instead of before. The sides (mashed potatoes, creamed spinach) were also lukewarm. We ate it anyway because at that point the night was already dragging.
Desserts — which were supposed to come with our entrées — took 40+ minutes after we paid. Those were all ordered with our entrees, all the same dessert as well. Still no apology for anything: the seating delay, the cold food, the wait times… nothing. After dessert arrived, I overheard the waiter say you could have ordered a different dessert for $5 extra dollars?! Where was that option at order time bc I would have gladly paid for something else.

I haven’t been to Ruth’s Chris (downtown) in about a decade, and after this experience, I won’t be going back. Our whole group left disappointed, tired, and heading straight home instead of grabbing the one drink we’d planned after dinner.
Nights like this are exactly why I choose local small businesses over chains. This was not it. Our entire party of 10 left extremely disappointed. None of us live near the restaurant either – this was a middle ground for everyone. So after a disappointing Saturday night out, we all drove 30 mins home in the rain instead of enjoying a drink with eachother nearby after dinner.

We recently celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary at Ruth’s Chris, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, everything was perfect. Fresh rose petals on the table and candlelights. Our server was attentive, kind, and ensured that every detail was taken care of. Compliments to the chef as well—the food was outstanding, perfectly seasoned, and the stuffed mushrooms were the best I’ve ever had.
The atmosphere was equally impressive, with a beautiful view of the St. Johns River that made the evening even more special. The thoughtful touch of the personalized signed card and the writing on our dessert plate was deeply appreciated and added to the celebration.
Ruth’s Chris exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to returning to create more memorable moments in the future .

This place has been around and will forever be around!!! Every time I go I am reminded why this place has stood the test of time!!! The fact that the surf and turf comes with crème brûlée is just one of the many reasons you just have to love this place!!!! It’s all done right doesn’t get any righter…like seriously elite another thing this place does that sets the bar high, is the muddled fruit in the cocktails because absolutely and what’s a visit without the bbq you just can’t do that…honorable mention to the seafood tower that I didn’t have the pleasure of indulging in this visit but in previous visits it’s worth every penny! I love a table closer to the water view depending on the time of day people are out on their boats and jet skis, dolphins are playing around out there too. Another cool thing about this place is after a lovely dinner you can access and walk the river walk after eating all that good food!

First time visiting for my husband’s birthday! WOW wow wow, what an amazing place! I’m from Rhode Island and these crab cakes were the best I’ve had since I left home! The lobster Mac and cheese was to die for!

I don’t recommend the au gratin potato, it was very bland and watery. And the grilled asparagus was too soggy and bitter for my liking.

For Valentine’s Day my boyfriend treated us to Ruth Chris for dinner, we had never been before so we were very excited. The service was okay from our server, who I assume was the service manager was amazing he kept our table clean, checked in on us, when they forgot the olives to my martini he got me a side plate of them. I was very impressed with the service and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The food itself was very mediocre. My boyfriend got the stuffed chicken and I got the sea bass, we shared the lobster Mac. The chicken was very good, the seabass was room temp (even tho they make an huge deal about how hot their plates are) and under seasoned while the veggies all seemed undercooked and also under seasoned. I was very excited to try the lobster Mac but it was absolutely awful. It was a thin watery consistency and tasted like peanut oil for some reason?? I tried to doctor it up at home but it was just so bad I threw it away. Wasted my money on that for sure. My boyfriend and I mutually agreed we won’t be returning to Ruth Chris, but we are happy we tried it. The drinks were very strong and flavorful , the martinis are worth the price. If you’re looking for well seasoned and cooked food, I’d rather have longhorn, which is surprising considering everyone raves about Ruth Chris. Atmosphere and customer service was great, food not so much.

My wife and I celebrated our 1-year wedding anniversary at Ruth’s Chris Steak House, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with smiles and made us feel truly welcome. The atmosphere was elegant, and the nighttime view of downtown was absolutely stunning.

Diego, our server, went above and beyond super attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the evening. I had the 26oz Cowboy Ribeye, which was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. My wife ordered the lamb chops, and they were incredibly tender and delicious.

Everything from the service to the food to the ambiance made our anniversary feel extra special. Highly recommend Ruth’s Chris for any celebration or just a top-tier dining experience. We’ll definitely be back

20/10 absolute perfect service, atmosphere and food. Everything was top tier. Highly recommend!
I got the 6oz felt and my fiancé got the herb chicken. The steak was a perfect medium and the chicken was so flavorful / never had anything like it!
I forgot our severs name but he was very knowledgeable, professional and made our dinner special.
The parking garage was the worst part but that’s part of being in Savannah.

Came in specifically for the $60 three-course meal. While reviewing the menu, I saw what appeared to be an option to add two 4oz steaks and shrimp for $12. Because it sounded questionable, I asked a server directly if that was correct and was told yes.

When the check arrived, it was $159. I then learned the $12 was only to upgrade a 6oz steak to 8oz completely different from what I was told. My server, Kenneth, was phenomenal and handled the situation with professionalism and accountability. I paid the bill in full, still tipped 20%, and left. A solo meal I expected to be around $76 ended up costing nearly $200.

Concerned about the misinformation, I later called and spoke with the manager, Joseph, not to request a refund, but to ensure staff are properly educated so this doesn’t happen to another guest. I even took responsibility for believing something that sounded too good to be true. Unfortunately, the response I received was dismissive and condescending, with no apology, empathy, or acknowledgment of the frustration caused by incorrect information given by staff.

The lack of accountability and basic customer care from management was extremely disappointing, especially considering the amount spent and my history dining with this brand. I left feeling disrespected rather than valued. This experience raises serious concerns about menu transparency, staff training, and how guest complaints are handled at this location.

I have always enjoyed Ruth’s Chris, but after how this situation was handled, I’m genuinely reconsidering whether I’ll return.
