Ruth’s Chris at Town Center is delicious, as expected. The steaks are perfect, the sides are amazing, and the service is always top notch. Their happy hour is especially great good prices, great drinks, and the same high quality food you’d expect from Ruth’s Chris.
Town Center itself has such a nice vibe, especially during the holiday season when all the lights and Christmas decorations are out. It feels festive, cozy, and the perfect place for a dinner out.
Highly recommend for a date night, celebration, or just treating yourself to a great meal.

This was my first time visiting this location. I wish I read about the valet parking prior to my arrival it would have saved me a walk. I normally get a steak but this time I ordered the porkchop garnished with apple and mashed potatoes. The porkchop was amazing the only thing that could have made it better was more apples. . As always the service was amazing. Can’t wait to vist again.

I got the cowboy ribeye with lobster, mac & cheese, asparagus and garlic, mashed potatoes. The steak was a nice size, but it wasn’t seasoned enough for me even having the garlic butter melted on it but once I added that A1 steak sauce, it was amazing. The lobster mac & cheese was great the asparagus it was all right not really seasoned at all and the garland of potatoes of course as you know, it’s a fan favorite, which is very good. Amazing experience. The manager check up on you got checked up on 2-3 times while I was waiting for the food and eating great experience.

This location is in the beautiful Towne Center. It is great to walk around at night taking in the beautiful buildings. It was my birthday celebration. The food was really good and the service was great. The only issue was the escalator up to the door…it was out of order making it difficult to walk up stairs if you have a medical condition. The Chilean Seabass is highly recommended!

Ruth’s Chris Steak House is located in the Town Center area of Virginia Beach. There is limited street parking, but there are parking garages here and the Green Parking Garage is the closest one to the business. My visit here was on October 31, 2025.
I’ve been to Town Center numerous times, but have never been to Ruth’s Chris. My mom and I both came here on this visit based on an ad for hearing about a program available, so the cost was covered by the company sponsoring this event. This review is centered on the aspects of the visit regarding the staff, food and so forth.
The entrance to the restaurant is on the second floor. There is an escalator that you can use to get up there. There is also an elevator to get up there as well. This restaurant is more upscale, so business casual to elegant attire is required, which is noted next to the entrance doors. When we came in, we looked around a bit as we weren’t sure where to go. A few moments later, someone came by and they helped us get to the room we wanted to get to.
At the tables, there was a set menu of items you could choose from. The first course was the Steak House Salad. For the entree, you had three options to choose from. The sides were Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Fresh Broccoli. The dessert would be the Classic Cheesecake.
The first part was to get an overview of the presentation that day. After 15 minutes or so, servers came around asking what our choice would be for the main course. I chose the Garlic-Herb Cheese Stuffed Chicken and my mom chose the Classic Petite Filet. They brought out their bread to the tables. Around 11:30 am, the Steak House Salads came out to the tables. It looked really good, and when I had it, it was great, even though I don’t normally do salad dressings. Shortly after finishing the salad, the sides came out to the tables, followed by the main course chosen. The Garlic-Herb Cheese Stuffed Chicken was amazing. There was plenty of flavor to it and really hit the spot. My mom noted the same thing with her Classic Petite Filet. After having those parts of the lunch, the next hour or so was the presentation that brought us here in the first place. Once that part was completed, the final course came around, which was the Classic Cheesecake. The cheesecake was really good, and is something I don’t normally have.
Overall, Ruth’s Chris Steak House was really good. I know it would be pretty pricey on a regular basis, which is why I hadn’t been here before until this. I may consider coming here for a personal special event reason in the future though. The food and service were awesome. If you are looking for a more upscale place to have a meal, this place is worth checking out.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Ruth’s Chris Steak House. The ambience was classy and elegant, perfect for a night out. I even got a compliment for being the best dressed, which made the evening feel even more special. The entire experience was fancy, enjoyable, and memorable we’ll definitely be back!

There were 5 of us and we all had different entrée. We ordered Onion Soup and Ceasar salad to start. I absolutely love Onion soup and it was SO disappointing here. There was a tiny baguette on top and the very small amount of cheese was at the bottom. Both orders were like that. Tasted old and they tried to warm up. The salad was okay, nothing impressive.
The steaks were by far the best part of the meal. Cooked perfect for 4 of us and seasoned well.
Now the sides, such a disappointment. The “Garlic” mashed potatoes, tasted fake, maybe out of a box and then an ENTIRE STICK OF BUTTER with no seasoning and NO garlic. Every person was grossed out and we only had a few bites. . It’s not difficult to make mashed potatoes. The cream of spinach, not great either. It was so creamy that it was soupy. Taste was off.
Ambiance, Servers, and ALL staff were amazing.
The $350 bill (not including tip) for 5 people for a steak house is reasonable. However,we will not be back because other then STEAK, food at this $$$$ does not meet expectations.
I would refer you to, Byrd & Baldwin in Norfolk. Same price and hands down the BEST food!!

Food is phenomenal and the service is outstanding. Our waiter and all the staff went above and beyond to make sure our daughter’s birthday was special.
