We love steaks, and Ruth’s Chris Princeton is our go-to place for special occasions. This time, we received an email offering a special prix fixe course, so we decided to give it a try. The course included a choice of appetizer, entrée, sides, and dessert. I had the Caesar salad, a 6oz filet with shrimp, creamy spinach, and chocolate cake—everything was excellent.
What impressed us even more was the service. From start to finish, the timing was perfect, and the attentive yet comfortable service reminded us of the high-end steakhouses we’ve visited in Texas. We truly had a wonderful time. The portion sizes were just right, allowing us to enjoy every course—especially the dessert, which we usually skip because we’re too full. It was also pleasant to see many guests dressed nicely; you can tell the patrons respect the restaurant. Overall, a great experience.

Mixed experience. When the service hit, it really delivered. When it didn’t, the gaps were obvious. My drink took a long time to arrive, empty glasses sat too long, and my second drink didn’t come until dessert. We dealt with the same delays on water jug refills for the table. The Sweet & Smoky Margarita tasted great but was weak.
The food was good, not great. My medium rare 8 oz Filet was cooked perfectly, and the bleu cheese crust was nicely balanced. The Brussels Sprouts and Calamari were solid. My younger daughter loved the Lobster Mac and Cheese as her meal from the sides menu, and my older daughter cleaned her plate of the kids’ 4 oz Steak with Mashed Potatoes.
Desserts were inconsistent. The Bread Pudding was good but my nephew didn’t like his Chocolate Sin Cake. It was extremely rich and all ganache. His girlfriend found the Creme Brulee just okay. Early 2000s vibes. Overall, the experience didn’t feel or look like fine dining nor a high-end steakhouse.

Came here for my 17 year old’s birthday dinner. The staff was excellent, they were friendly and attentive without hovering. Most of the food was excellent, 4 filets were perfectly cooked, the mashed potatoes were great and the new sound ginger Chilean Sea Bass dinner was outstanding. Sadly the birthday boys steak was over cooked and something was off with the creamed spinach. Not enough to never come back, but disappointing about my son’s meal. Wish I could have left 4 1/2 stars.

Things come off to a funny start when there’s a sign at the entrance asking guests to maintain business casual attire, but there were a lot of people in sweatshirts and sweatpants. That aside, the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is dingy and rundown- from the lighting, to stained armchairs at the entrance, to the entire floor of the bathroom being sticky.
The food was okay, not particularly good or bad, and likewise for the service. The waiter did not come by to offer more drinks or check on us, but spent plenty of time joking with the table sitting behind us.
Overall, this is a chain restaurant pretending to be a fine dining establishment, but lacking the ability to perform at that level.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House is an excellent choice for a special meal! The steaks are cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff is attentive and welcoming, and the atmosphere feels both elegant and comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone who loves a quality dining experience.

On business travel and needed a takeout meal so I could finish some work in my hotel room. A few years back I had an awful experience in another state with a different Ruth’s Chris takeout involving a lost/ very late order and me having to make multiple phone calls and wait around outside the back kitchen door, I wasn’t even allowed to go in the lobby). I haven’t been to a Ruth’s Chris since but seeing that this one had good reviews and was close to my hotel I gave it a try. Glad I did! The staff were super professional, lady at the lobby desk went and got my food right away, another server asked if I was already being helped, the food was all ready and tasted great! Even got fries with my steak sandwich rather than chips. This Ruth’s Chris is clearly staffed by professionals! It makes all the difference. 10/10 recommend!

Everything was delicious, never a miss. Our server was friendly and attentive. We went for happy hour. Our steak sandwiches were tender, flavorful and the garlic bread was soft. We always get their steak sandwiches. Drinks, refreshing with the right ratio. Must go!

The food was great. The atmosphere was great. The drinks were great. Everything was great but, what stood out the most was our server. Christian was phenomenal. It was me and my wife’s anniversary and even tho he was absolutely swamped with guests, he managed to take the best care of us. I never mentioned that it was our anniversary when I made the reservation but, when Christian found out he some how managed to find the time in between all of his tables to come and decorate our table with rose pedals. He was also the most attentive server that I have ever encountered in all my visits at steakhouses across the country. When you come here ask for Christian, you won’t regret it.

I celebrated my birthday here yesterday and was overwhelmed with how amazing the service was. We were a party of 20 plus, and they accommodated us in the bar area. Our server, Maurice, was OUTSTANDING! He took care of all of us effortlessly, with class, and minimal to no mistakes. He was attentive and was able to remember drink orders for all 20+ of us, as well as explaining everything from the grade of meat, seasoning used, and made sure everything was handled with care and class. He was funny, everyone who came loved him and he was a great part of making my birthday special. When I come back I hope to be able to dine with him as my server again. And for anybody else coming in looking for this outstanding service, please ask for Maurice. You won’t be disappointed. So happy to have chosen this Ruth Chris for my birthday dinner.
