Good solid steakhouse located in short hills mall. Service was good was seated immediately near bar. Atmosphere is typical (dark with just enough light to eat) they had typical above average appetizers and entrees. As per the norm all sides are al la carte. Prices reflect the quality. We ordered the porterhouse for two. It was decent size cooked rare and seasoned nicely. They give you a sizzling plate to eat from (caution it’s really hot) Ordered the au gratin potatoes which were average , cream spinach and the asparagus with hollandaise (which was not all that good) definitely not the best version of that sauce I’ve had. Desert was chocolate raspberry cake which was flavorful and quite good. Coffee was not hot (but expensive) but you don’t go here for the coffee right!? Overall a decent steak dinner would probably visit again if in the area. $250 for 2

Our server, Amaya, was truly amazing. She was attentive, professional, and incredibly kind, with great knowledge of the menu and thoughtful recommendations. She checked in at the perfect times, anticipated our needs, and made the entire evening feel seamless and special. Her level of service really stood out and elevated the experience.
The food was outstanding—the steaks were cooked perfectly, and every dish was flavorful and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere was upscale yet comfortable, making it a perfect setting for a great night out.
Overall, a wonderful experience, and I would absolutely return.

This location is close by and super convenient in the mall. We give it a five out of five. The food is always fresh, the service is good (could be a little better), and the atmosphere is amazing. They serve the best virgin drinks you’ll ever have, and we love coming here specifically for happy hour.

Extremely clean, pleasant staff, and the food is on another level! Everything we ate (French onion soup, steaks, shrimp, asparagus, sweet potato casserole, and cheesecake was divine! Not to mention our waiter, Mr. Charles, of the Short Hills location was excellent! He personalized our experience with such great patience, kindness, and attention to detail! My husband and I have our one year anniversary coming up Mr. Charles surprised us with the cutest red hearts to decorate the table, a sweet happy anniversary card, and a cheesecake with our milestone written in delicious chocolate fudge and a beautiful candle! Mr. Charles is definitely part of what made Ruth’ Chris Steak House such an amazing experience!

Had the most incredible first experience at this restaurant and I’m already counting down to my next visit. From the moment I sat down, Andrea made me feel so welcome and taken care of. She was very active, laughing with me and other customers that I personally witnessed. Always puts a smile on someone. The steak was quality ! Highly recommend ❤️

We went to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and I hope we would have picked another place. Upon entering all the hostess had to say was “Hi”, I was expecting her to ask us if we had a reservation but she just stared at us. As for the service we have received better friendly service at other restaurants. The waiter seemed annoyed, unfriendly and not happy to be there. He asked if we were ready to order and once we told him our drinks and appetizer he just stood there. I asked if he wanted our full order now and he said yes. When we were trying to decide what sides we wanted, he stood there again with an annoyed face instead of offering to come back or to help. We had to tell him to give us time and to come back. The only highlight was the food, it was very delicious!!! And the waiter who brought the food out was more friendly than our main waiter. Overall our celebration did not feel special and we did not enjoy the experience. We expected more from this restaurant, we won’t go back or recommend this location.

This was my first time at this location. It was delicious. Stopped by for the $55 3 course and it was worth it. I ordered the Caesar salad (not pictured), stuffed chicken and mash, and for dessert upgraded to creme brûlée for $5. We ordered a few drinks and they were nice. Overall we each spent $100 not including tip.
