The burger was great, toasted bun and cooked to perfection. The fries were awesome, cooked just right.
My daughter loved the grilled chicken sandwich and fries.

Ruthie’s was a pleasant stop on our trip back from Duluth. Everyone there was welcoming to my family.
I ordered the steak and eggs with hash browns. The steak was fresh, eggs were cooked perfect, and has browns were peeled and fried right there.
My wife ordered eggs and French toast with hash browns. Again everything was great.
Honestly this was the best breakfast I’ve ever had from a restaurant. We will make it a point to stop by on any further road trips.

A small town diner food was great but it took almost 2 hours to receive it and we still left without getting our total food because we didn’t want to wait around any longer. The server was friendly but she seemed to be one of the only workers on the day we came so not to upset it took so long but hopefully that changes for future guests!

Definately an older diner; however ham and cheese omlete was very good as well as her perfectly cooked hashbrowns 9.75$. A great deal also worth remembering don’t speed through Hill City,MN they will nail you!

Every small town in America has a small diner. A local coffee stop for gossip and local chatter. Ruthie’s is to Hill City as any other diner is to any other small town. Just off the highway, the breakfast is always better than the lunch. Hotcakes and eggs were perfect, the bacon just right. It beat another 175 miles with an empty stomach and I would do it again!
