Visited from out of state and this was AMAZING!!! It was a Sunday afternoon, very busy and we waited maybe 5 minutes for a table of three. Food was perfect, our waitress was very good on checking on us and the manager stopped by to say hello and make us feel welcome.

This place is like a warm hug. I consider it my meeting place for all of the folks in my life — since they have such extensive vegan options as well as a variety of breakfast and lunch foods, there’s something for everyone. I moved to Montclair but still make a point to come here to feel at home.

Stopped by after reading great reviews and I’m so happy I did! Service was great and this place was busy on a weekday morning and I see why. My party of two was able to be seated immediately.

Amazing for vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free foods! Usually at diners, there are hardly any options for vegans. I got the vegan challah French toast and the Roman tofu scramble and they were both fantastic. Flavor all around. You can tell everything is thought through, down to the vegan butter on the side.

Been coming here for years but the quality of food has gone downhill. The Maywood Pancake House is much better. As far as the place itself, it’s nice but very noisy so if you want to be able to hear each other, I dont recommend but that just happens when it’s a busy place. The service sometimes is great, sometimes not so good, waitress doesn’t come to check and see if you need refills on coffee or water. Usually wouldn’t review negatively for that but the past few visits, if you want your food cooked to what’s considered normal, you need to ask for well done. These are the “hash browns” which were like a mashed up baked potato with no seasoning, barely cooked. The toast was just bread barely toasted at all. I did let management know but they didn’t seem to care, neither did the waitress who doesn’t seem to know the first thing about customer service. This is why I’m posting photos and my experience to share with others.

So nice to have a diner type of place with multiple vegan options where you can try something new every visit. Had the french toast and although it was not your classic french toast (it was more like a cream cheese sandwich) it was still delish and am looking forward to trying the vegan pancakes and waffles!

The kitchen should consider salting their ingredients during cooking. Everything was missing that ZING, and tasted bland. It’s hard to compensate for the missing salt at the end. Tea did not have the water at the proper temperature and it just tasted like it wasn’t heated enough. Service was good. Quite quiet in there. I also like things saucy or just not dry, didn’t deliver with that.

I was denied entry with my service dog, which is a clear violation of the ADA. The manager was rude, unprofessional, and completely disrespectful toward me and my disability, despite my age and situation. No one with a service animal should ever be treated this way. This place shows zero compassion or inclusivity — I would never recommend it to anyone.

Had a late breakfast , and it was absolutely delicious. The interior design had a unique, nostalgic aesthetic—something that reminded me of a 90s film, which I really appreciated. Our server was incredibly pleasant and took great care of us. The garden omelette was spectacular, and the French toast was a classic American treat. Great parking and a lovely area. Chef’s kiss. Overall, a good experience
