Made a reservation for midday on a Saturday afternoon about a week in advance. Upon arrival, there were several parties on the wait list that did not make reservations.
We were told we would be sat in about 5 minutes for a 1pm reservation, which turned out to be 7 minutes. We were totally fine with that. There were two hosts that kept their cool with guests with entitled attitudes. One wait list guest that was waiting asked for a manager, and they likewise kept their cool a the guest complained that they were never officially put on the wait. No judgement to the aforementioned guest, but after a morning tasting or two, the location is appropriate for a last side last-minute stop before continuing with a Napa wine weekend.
We shared meatballs, salad, shared a starter, entress, dessert, and enjoyed a glass of wine. The variety is great and we feel comfortable. Portions look large, but they’re not a huge as you’d think. Love that mustard in the coleslaw!
Food is really tasty here, as always. One if my favorites in the area and always worth the stop.

Came by for a late lunch before wine tasting and I was impressed by the food. Their burger is decent, rotisserie chicken was delicious and the fire roasted artichoke was flavorful. Our meal was delicious with great vibes and friendly staff. See you next time Rutherford grill.

Was looking forward to the artichokes, everyone says they are delicious…they are seasonal so I wasn’t able to try it, i will need to come for another visit. Service was good and food was delicious. We made reservations for and needed 2 tables to accommodate 8 people. Overall it was a good experience.

We come to this place frequently and have nailed down the best things on the menu! The service is always fast and friendly and top notch. We always order the Cesar Salad, grilled artichoke, and corn bread bites for starters. The Cesar salad has a dressing on it unlike any Cesar dressing I’ve tasted before. It seems to have a hint of mustard but is definitely not overpowering. The grilled artichoke has a wood burned smoky taste that’s really amazing. And the cornbread bites are sweet and buttery.
My wife orders the French dip and I order the baby back ribs. We’ve been coming here for 20 years and we think these two things are the best items on the menu. The French dip is flavorful and extremely tender. It melts in your mouth and my wife says it’s the best French dip she’s ever had and she’s had a lot of them being a French dip connoisseur! I almost always get the baby back ribs and they are tender and literally fall off the bone. They give you a knife to eat them but you don’t need it. It’s smoky and has a slight crisp but not overdone. The bbq sauce is sweet and tasty.
But the best part of the meal is the dessert! They serve this Oreo type ice cream sandwich with vanilla filling, homemade whip cream and an absolutely top notch to die for chocolate sauce with a hint of espresso that makes this dessert the best one I’ve ever had! I told my friends I’d drive for hours just for this dessert… and I’m not really a dessert person but this one?! Wow!! It definitely leaves an impression!

Great food! We had their famous French dip sandwich with the kale salad. Great service by David C our waiter and beautiful restaurant inside. We came on a Thursday around 1:30 and there was no wait. Got seated right away. Thanks again.

The center of the universe is here, and this BYOB spot in Napa is generous to a fault. If you don’t want to wait, grab a seat at the bar, but don’t miss out – it’s definitely worth the wait.
The food couple with the fantastic atmosphere created an exceptional dining experience. I highly recommend making this a regular spot while next in Napa. We’ll definitely be back ♥️

Love coming here. Service is top notch. Love $0 corkage fee. Get the artichokes if they have them. So good. I live ribeye and they made mine medium-rare as requested. Even got dessert this time. Recommend and will return to Rutherford Grill.

Decided to try this place after a nice morning in the vineyards, and man, I wasn’t disappointed! The food was amazing, the service was great, and the atmosphere was so welcoming.I tried the Hawaiian ribeye, which was so flavorful, and my wife had the combination plate, which was also one of the best we tried. By all means, try the cornbread; it’s delicious!
All I’m trying to say is everything we tried was amazing and wouldn’t mind the 2-hour drive to eat here again.

Great place.. But, beware of how you will get seated if you bring your own wine, preferably in an empty side than the most elegantly seated section. This is true even if you made a reservation several days before, but may not be true if you are Caucasian. Big jump from their sister restaurants in NYC we love.
