Rusty’s Ranch House absolutely lived up to the hype. The food was excellent across the board. Perfectly cooked steak, great flavor, and portions that felt well worth it. You can tell they take pride in doing classic steakhouse food the right way.

What really made the experience stand out, though, was the service. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful with recommendations, without ever hovering. To top it off, she surprised us by offering some free ice cream, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected touch.

Between the quality of the food and the outstanding service, Rusty’s feels like one of those places you’re excited to come back to. If you’re in Cedar City and want a solid steakhouse experience with great hospitality, this is the spot.

Rusty’s Ranch House in Cedar City, Utah was an outstanding dining experience from start to finish! Ron met us with a big smile as we walked in. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food was incredible, and our server Casey truly made the night exceptional. Casey was knowledgeable, attentive, and offered fantastic recommendations that did not disappoint.

We started with the coconut shrimp—perfectly crispy with amazing flavor. The bone-in ribeye was cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavor, and the filet paired with barbecue ribs was an absolute winner—tender, smoky, and delicious. Save room for dessert because the house-made bread pudding was the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal.

Everything we tried was top-notch, and Casey’s friendly service and menu expertise made the experience even better. If you’re in Cedar City, Rusty’s Ranch House is a must-visit. We will definitely be back!

We decided to try out this place out after getting a coupon in the mail. We got the grilled salmon, the flat iron pork, a salad, and an iced tea.

The food and tea were good. I’m wishing I had gotten the ribs or the steak. Unfortunately most of our food felt less than warm, the only thing that felt hot was the baked potato. That must be what the food was waiting on.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, no complaints there. Although the table was slightly sticky when we arrived.

Overall, I feel it’s a 7/10 I’m glad we gave it a try, but we probably wouldn’t come back paying full price ($28 per dish)

We had the most wonderful Valentine’s Day meal that we’ve had in a long time our states were cooked perfectly. The experience and service to detail by their employees was outstanding will definitely go again.

It is a large cabin in the mountain. Great atmosphere and friendly service. The ribeye steak was very good. It was very busy and hard to find parking. I am sure that I am not the only one who enjoyed this place. It is good for large groups as well.

Stopped here for dinner at the end of a 500 mile drive. We were hungry and tired. The staff seated us immediately and the table service was friendly and prompt. All of the food was excellent, with generous portions. Leftovers made for a tasty lunch the next day. We can’t wait to come back!

The ravioli with lobster bisque is amazing. I’m always hesitant to order ravioli at a non Italian restaurant, but they did great with it.

The kids chicken strips are small but very tasty, the fries and veggies were very good too

The lemon drop cheesecake comes with a seedless raspberry sauce drizzled around it but not on top which is how I like it.

Awesome place! Was driving by in the evening after a long day of hiking in Zion, saw this charming-looking place, and promptly turned around. Surrounded by deer, moose, and bison heads I enjoyed a fabulous steak dinner and a local IPA. My delightfully lovely waitress served me very well with charm and humour. Ribeye steak came out perfectly rare, and bursting with local flavour. My only regret is that I was far too full to try the homemade bread pudding. Next time…

As I am traveling on a budget, I eat one nice meal out in a restaurant once a week or so, and being that I was celebrating my 35th wedding anniversary away from my sweetheart, I gifted him a $50 Texas Roadhouse gift certificate and Lindt chocolate and decided I would have a steak dinner to celebrate as well. I turned to Google while in Enoch, rave reviews sent me to Cedar City to Rusty’s. I thought the prices were a bit high, but I’ve eaten at some really nice steak houses, so if it was a good steak, it’s worth paying the extra price they can demand for it.

The hostess did not seem to realize I was there for dinner until I told her I wanted a table for one, she took me to a table. I explained that I’d be happy to take the table but I wanted to use the restroom first, she said she’d let my server know.

My server Michaela (Kayla) while not overly friendly was attentive, listened well and did her job with a smile. She did not respond when I said, that steak must be something special at $40 for a 12 ounce ribeye. Her service was good, she explained things clearly, staged the pace of the meal well, I would have had time to finish my salad before the entree was brought out, that is a very good skill. All in all, she was the star of the night.

The bread was nice and warm and tasted good, but the crust was so tough I couldn’t take a bite without ripping it apart, one slice was enough for me. It was served with an ample supply of individual butter pads.

As the saying goes, for the rest of the story. For a $2 upcharge, I swapped out the side salad for a side Caesar salad. The romaine lettuce what’s soft, wet, and tasteless. I had to cut some pieces up with my steak knife, as that was the only knife in the napkin roll. The dressing, had no flavor and while I tried to eat it, I gave up after only a few bites and pushed it aside.

The entree was served, it looked good, I cut into the steak, perfectly medium rare, that’s saying a lot, it’s hard to get the temperature right on steak. I paused to put butter on my veggies and baked potato. There was a seasoned butter pat on my steak, I noticed it had not even started to soften, let alone melt. Neither did the butter I placed under the veggies, nor the butter on the potatoes…it was barely melting. The food was cold. Kayla checked in to see if the temperature of the steak was right, I told her yes, it looks perfect. I didn’t want to complain, so I thought about what to do. When she came back around, I ask to speak to a manager. The manager was pleasant enough, I pointed out that the butter had not melted, she seemed to immediately understand and offered to take it back and warm it up. She came back with a plate for the steak, I asked her if she could just take it all back and warm it up because it was all cold, which she did. She said she would give me a discount.
When the food came back the veggies and steak were warmer and the potato was hot. Everything a bit dryer but at least it was warm. Then I started to eat the steak…I can honestly say, this was one of the worst steaks I have ever had. It was tasteless and rubbery, not at all good. I don’t think I could have eaten it even if I had been offered steak sauce. So a couple bites of veggies and a quarter of my potato later, I just decided this food was not worth eating and pushed my plate away…full of food, almost untouched. Kayla ask if I would like a box, I had no, but I would like the check. There was a discount of $8.××, which brought the total to just under $40. I didn’t want to leave cash on the table and took the check and my $50 bill up to the service window where another server and the manager were standing. I explained it was for Kayla, that I wasn’t comfortable leaving cash on the table.

There is a certain point at which I’m so frustrated, and disgusted that I can’t complain any further…by then I had lost my appetite.

I had planned to eat the second half of my steak dinner today…instead all I got for my $50 was disappointment!
