Simple place that has a good feel. Real good food, NOT EXPENSIVE, but that also depends on what you get. Good steaks good chicken fried streaks. Good breakfast. Eaten here several times. Has a stocked bar. Pool table. TVs that are all on different channels(better varity) Great small town feel where everyone knows everyone and they will still talk to you even if you are from somewhere else. My only complaint would be to please turn off the ceiling fans when its 35 degrees outside. Felt like I was still in a deer blind.

The outside does not look like much, the inside is better. Very nice woodfinished bar and exceptionally clean. My steak was a little more medium well than medium, but had great flavor.

We had a great time at the Rusty Spur. The KC strips were cooked perfectly to order, and the salad bar has everything. Carrie was super sweet, and we enjoyed dinner and drinks very much. Bonus: the chairs at the bar are super comfortable!

We came to Seymour Tx to Dove hunt and when your in cattle country, you find a good steak house. But the one night we go looking, everything was closed but the Rusty Spur and it was a God send! The food, our waitress, everything was fantastic! Huge servings, perfectly cooked steaks and service with a smile! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

The Rusty Spur was a nice local dining experience. My steak with baked potato was awesome. Mt wife’s food was excellent. The prices were fair. Our server was outstanding! She was also working the bar and seemed to know just when the right time was to stop by and check in. I would give them 5 stars but this was just not a 5 star establishment.

Walked in and was hit in the face with cigarette smoke so disappointing, almost left but we decided to stay. Lady behind the bar immediately greeted us. Told us to have a seat and she’s be right there. Very friendly and got our drinks promptly. We ordered shrooms they showed up in a few minutes very good. They have scratch made ranch dressing… my favorite!!
Our meal came with a salad and she brought us our bowls, since this was our first time, we had no idea what to do with them. We obviously gave her a puzzled look and she said help yourselves to the salad bar. I didn’t see it when we came in it was down on the lower Landing. It’s small but everything was really fresh.
We both ordered filets with loaded potatoes! It’s been a while so I hope they didn’t overcook it!
Patience is a virtue, trust me! It did take a little bit for our food to arrive but it was worth the wait. That is one of the very best steaks I’ve ever eaten. It was so juicy, tender, and flavorful AND cooked perfectly. Bravo to the chef!
Our waitress continue to do an excellent job throughout our dinner as well. I will definitely be back to enjoy another steak even though they allow smoking in the business. I think the time we came was a good choice. It wasn’t as busy, so there were less smokers.
